Her Bright Eyes and Bold Confidence

Recalling the exact words exchanged is not something I can do, but I will not forget the substance and feeling of the conversation I had on Sunday. It was after the 8:40 service. A seven-year-old girl and her father walked up to me. The father said, "My daughter would like to speak with you."

 

Talking with children is one of my favorite things, so I sat down on the steps in front of the stage where we were standing, putting me at eye level with this charming individual. She said with bright eyes and bold confidence, "Want to be a pastor when I grow up." Recognizing this would be a good conversation, I asked, "Why do you want to be a pastor?" You're invited to bring your family to the Fellowship Hall for dinner and conversation with friends on Wednesdays from 4:50 - 6:05pm. Tomorrow, we'll be serving:


Regular Meal: Fried Chicken, Cabbage, Rice & Gravy, Blake-Eyed Peas, Cornbread, Sweet Potato Pie

Salad Bar

Kid's Meal: Chicken Tenders, Fries, Fresh Fruit.


Cost: $8 Regular meal or Salad Bar, $6 Kids meal, $30 family max.

Launchpad is an interactive time that gives kids an age-appropriate setting to “Blast-Off” in their understanding of Jesus and the many Truths in God’s Word. Your kids are invited to join us Sundays at 4:30pm for music, games, and Bible fun!

End of Year Giving Report

Your generosity in 2024 has been amazing! We're excited and thankful to report that strong end-of-year giving to the General Fund helped us reach and slightly exceed the giving goal. We give thanks to God for His blessing and provision for our church as we continue to lead people to Discover God, Develop Faith, and Display Christ-Like Love.
