Worship This Sunday

On Being A Disciple

Matthew 28:16-20

Being a disciple of Jesus is not simply believing in Him—it’s following Him daily and living on mission with Him. One of the ways we do that is by helping others grow in their faith.

All current and prospective small group and Sunday School leaders are invited to a brief meeting this Sunday, immediately following the 11am service. If you’re interested in leading or simply want to learn more, we’d love for you to join us. Tim Jackson, Associate Pastor of Discipleship and Care, will share important updates and encouragement as we continue helping people develop their faith together. The meeting will take place in room C2050, with pizza and drinks provided.

Sunday, May 3 | 12pm | C2050

Way to go, Snyder!

Early Sunday morning, a fire at an Extended Stay Suites in Fayetteville displaced over 70 residents. Snyder quickly stepped in—providing shelter from the rain and a warm breakfast for those affected and first responders on scene.

This is the heart of Snyder: a generous church committed to caring for its community. Whether in a worship service or a rainy parking lot, Snyder shows up when it matters most.

1 John 3:17–18 — “If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them… let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.”

MISSIONS

Food Roundup – April Collection

Throughout the month of April, we’re joining churches across North Carolina for the annual Food Roundup to support children and families served through Baptist Children’s Homes of North Carolina.

Items Needed (drop off donations in the white bin in the Gathering Hall):

Pasta, pasta sauce, mac & cheese, rice, flour, sugar, canned fruit, baking mixes, cooking oils and sprays, canned vegetables, coffee, tea, hot cocoa, and snack foods (fruit snacks, jerky, pretzels, cheese crackers). Trash bags, Ziploc bags, and household cleaners.

Gift cards (Walmart, Sam’s Club, Food Lion) are especially helpful for purchasing perishables and additional needed items. (Please bring Gift Cards to the Church Office)

Each item given helps provide food for hundreds of thousands of meals and snacks each year, while also opening the door for hope and the message of Jesus in the lives of children. Thank you for helping us care for children and families in our state—what you give truly makes a difference.

KIDS

Parent and Child Dedication Class

April 29 | 6:30pm | Parlor (B1030)

Parent and Child Dedication is May 10, and it’s a meaningful moment for families to publicly thank God for the gift of their child and commit to raising them in a Christ-centered home. During this special service, parents stand before their church family to affirm their desire to guide their child toward a lifelong relationship with Jesus.

As a church, we also make a commitment to support, encourage, and partner with parents as they lead their children in faith. Parent-Child Dedication is not about a child’s salvation, but about a family’s intentional step to place their home under the leadership of Christ and invite the church to walk alongside them in their journey of faith.

We would love to celebrate this milestone with your family. If you’re interested in participating in an upcoming dedication service, please register and plan to attend the class on April 29.
