Fall Fest: Where Fun Meets Faith

You can almost feel it in the air, the crisp evenings, the scent of cinnamon and apples, and the sound of leaves crunching underfoot. Fall has arrived, and around here, that can only mean one thing. It’s almost time for our Snyder Kids Fall Fest!

Every year, this night fills our campus with laughter, music, and the happy chaos of kids running from trunk to trunk and game to game, proudly showing off costumes and clutching buckets of candy. It’s one of our favorite events, not just because it’s fun, but because it’s a beautiful picture of what it looks like to display Christ-like love right here in our own community.

Fall Fest isn’t just an event. It’s a mission field. It’s a night when our parking lot becomes a place where families from across Fayetteville gather, some who’ve been part of Snyder for years, and others stepping onto our campus for the very first time. And through every smile and every shared laugh, we get to show them what God’s love looks like in action.

This year, we’re especially excited to share The Pumpkin Gospel, a hands-on, joy-filled way for kids to hear how God takes the mess inside our hearts, cleans us out, and fills us with His light. It’s a story that sticks, simple enough for a child to understand, but powerful enough to remind us all of the transforming love of Jesus.

And you can help make it happen. We need volunteers to host trunks, run games, greet families, and pass out candy, lots of it. Every volunteer helps create a moment that could plant a seed of faith in someone’s heart. Candy donations can be dropped off in the bins around the church throughout the month, and sign-ups to serve are available in the Gathering Hall after the service this Sunday.

So circle the date, Saturday, October 26, at 4:30pm, and invite your friends, neighbors, and classmates. Let’s fill our campus with light, laughter, and love as we share the joy of Christ with Fayetteville, one piece of candy and one glowing pumpkin at a time.

We are heading back to SE Kentucky to work with our ministry partners! This time, we'll be packing Christmas boxes for kids in some of the poorest counties in America.

We'll be staying in a house that one of our past teams helped clean and repair. It's unfurnished, but the bathroom does work, so bring an air mattress and a towel.

Cost: $100 per person + money for food while traveling.

Applications are available outside Susie's Office and online.

Operation Christmas Child

National Collection Week is November 17–24, and Snyder’s Shoebox Dedication Sunday is November 23! Boxes are ready for you in the vestibule, Gathering Hall, and Cammack Lobby.

Take one home, fill it with gifts for a boy or girl, and bring it back by November 23. You can leave completed boxes in the Gathering Hall.

A way to display Christ-like love: Each shoebox is a simple gift that shares God’s love and brings joy to a child who might not otherwise receive one.

Deacon Recommendation

We are now accepting deacon recommendations!

Deacons serve a three-year term and are called to actively live out our purpose statement, “Leading people to Discover God, Develop Faith, and Display Christ-Like Love in our Attitudes and Actions”. They live this out by inviting friends to church, connecting in Bible Study, and are faithfully involved in serving at Snyder.

Your recommendations help us identify those who are living out God’s call in meaningful ways. Take a moment to recommend someone who models these qualities in their everyday life!
