Throughout the month of October, we have focused on the importance of stewardship in getting us more deeply involved in the life of the parish. We were invited to use our gifts of time, talent, and treasure to carry out the work of the gospel.

Adopt A Veteran for Christmas

The Ohio Veterans Home in Sandusky is a resident facility with 600 male and female residents. Almost 60% of the residents are from Lorain or Cuyahoga County and have nothing when they arrive.

My goal is to make sure each one of these residents receives a gift during the holidays.

This is my ninth year doing this ambitious project. I coordinate with the Veterans Home on the gifts of the Men’s and Women’s products that I obtain wholesale. It’s $22.00 to sponsor a Veteran and each gift is wrapped and hand delivered by me and other community members’ families.

I need people who would like to sponsor one or multiple veterans. If you have the ability to help, please contact Cindy Urig 440-567-4319. Thank you, Cindy

EUCHARISTIC MINISTERS

We are in need of Eucharistic Ministers to the homebound during the week or on Sunday. Please contact Rita Bowen at 440-323-0140 if you are interested.

'Table of Plenty' Food Pantry

611 Lake Ave., distribution dates: Nov. 19th, Dec. 17th & Jan. 28th Gates open at 9:30am - food distribution is 10am - Noon. Only Elyria residents please. Anyone interested in helping with the Food Pantry, contact Mary Ann Schaefer, 440-669-4468 or Debbie Jerrome, 440- 669-1290. Thank you!

ADVENT FAMILY NIGHT

Please join us for our Advent Family Night on Friday, November 25 from 5:30 - 8:00 pm. This is a special evening designed for families to prepare together to celebrate the season of Advent.

Senior Luncheon

The next Senior Luncheon will be Monday, Nov. 14. The cost of the luncheon is $6.00. Please call in your reservations to Rita Bowen at 323-0140. We look forward to a great meal, good fellowship and game of BINGO for those who wish to stay. Bring a friend and enjoy a great afternoon.
