My Friends,

In this month of October, we are focusing on the importance of stewardship as central to our life of faith. If we are true disciples of our Lord, it will be reflected in the way we use our time, talent and treasure. Both St. Agnes and St. Mary have compiled directories of their parish ministries and activities. Between the two parishes we can be proud of the wide range of services that we offer. It is a good time to consider how you might offer your gifts of time and talent to benefit the work of the Kingdom in the coming year. Read more...

FEED THE HUNGRY

It's hard to believe that October marks our 20th year of providing a meal to the Men's shelter in Lorain. It started as the St. Joseph Overnight Shelter then changed to the St. Elizabeth Center. Our next date to provide a meal is Saturday, October 18.

If you can supply a pasta with meat dish, dessert, rolls or salad, please call Maryann 440-822-7925 by Wednesday, October 15 and thank you for your continued support of this outreach program!

CACLC Refugee Resource Center

Our next Laundry Soap Collection is on October 18 & 19. Thank you in advance.

Kindness Kits

The Social Concerns Commission wants to thank St. Mary parishioners for the generosity in helping build the Kindness Kits. They are available, for free, in the Weigand Room after Masses. We encourage you to take 2-3 bags with you to place in your car so when a neighbor asking for help approaches you, you can ask their name and hand them a kit. The "Good Samaritan" did not pass the person in need, he interacted and cared. We hope the Kindness Kits will be the catalyst for us to do the same.
