THE BEST JUNE SALES IN TWELVE YEARS
ROSEVILLE -  The North State Building Industry Association's members have hit sales numbers higher than any June in the past 12 years. Michael Strech, President and CEO of the North State BIA is encouraged, but maintaining focus on the issue still at hand. "California is in a severe housing crisis, and while we can celebrate the small victories, we are also acutely aware that there is so much more to be done. The only way to solve the housing crisis is to make a variety of housing options available which is the goal of the members at the North State BIA."

Strech says that new home sales are heading back to pre-recession numbers.

"We have not seen June sales this high since 2007." Strech continued, "In addition to the high sales, there are currently 156 new home communities open in the Sacramento region which is the highest community count during June in more than ten years."

A total of 466 new homes were sold during the month of June, the North State Building Industry Association reported today. The sales were reported in 156 subdivisions in the six-county Greater Sacramento region from Marysville and Yuba City in the north to Galt in the south. In addition, 13,773 people visited active new-home communities last month.
