Chef Alex’s personal journey of creating a balanced life of work, health and family began in earnest in 2010 when he set out to qualify for the Boston Marathon, a journey that included a 70 lb weight loss, full dietary changes, and daily choices of personal discipline. It has not only resulted in qualifying for two Boston Marathons, but fully appreciating and wanting to share with others the direct effect of healthier diets on our whole well being.
Chef Alex loves to instill passion for cooking in others and help everyone understand the fun in learning to make food, work with ingredients, and even mess up here and there. He is active in supporting high school culinary educational programs and serves annually as a chef judge at the statewide high school culinary competition.
