We had our monthly employee meeting this morning. As I looked at our 20 plus employees I felt an overwhelming sense of pride and appreciation. This wonderful group of people have fought off the massive negativities that has been presented to us this year, kept working hard and persevered. I spoke to them and reminded them we are here for two reasons. One is to make a living, of course, and the other is because we love the motorcycle industry! Most all of us ride and I could see they understood what I was talking about.
 
This is such a fantastic country that we are all able to work at place centered around what we enjoy doing. I am so proud of every one of our staff! One of our newer employees came up to me afterwards and said how he loves working here, and that we are more of a family than a corporate business. That gave me chills, and is what I have worked so hard for So Cal Motorcycles to be.
 
I’ll say it again…”I am the luckiest man alive for the quality of people I am surrounded by.” I thank my staff, customers, friends and family for giving me this life!

Legendary Rocker Eddie Van Halen Passed at 65
Eddie Van Halen, the gleeful guitar prodigy who co-founded the legendary rock group Van Halen, has died after a long battle with throat cancer.

Van Halen’s son and bandmate broke the sad news on social media.

“I can’t believe I’m having to write this, but my father, Edward Lodewijk Van Halen, has lost his long and arduous battle with cancer this morning,” Wolfgang Van Halen, whose mom is actress Valerie Bertinelli, wrote.

“He was the best father I could ever ask for. Every moment I’ve shared with him on and off stage was a gift. My heart is broken and I don’t think I’ll ever fully recover from this loss. I love you so much, Pop,” he wrote.
