November Notes:
The primary November/December goal, is to complete the Mustang body mounting project. Needless to say...Rod's happy to be working on the cars again, after spending the past few months focused on the trailer overhaul. The first order of Mustang business was to complete the forming, fitting and welding of the   front and rear framework (spaghetti.) The body position must be precise to achieve proper pivoting, component clearance and the desired 'stance.' The body fit and function was good-to-go so, Rod then located the supercharger hat notch and cut it out of the hood. Some of the following steps will include: design and forming of the firewall, dash and wheel wells. The overhead body lift system continues to be a valuable tool, allowing them to raise and lower the body with the push of a button!

Rod Fazekas
Rod is a race car builder, welder and fabricator. His custom work not only includes SEMA Show Cars and Custom Motorcycles, but also custom Homes! Rod was first introduced to the world of cars, motorcycles and fabrication by his father, Rodney, who was also an avid motor sports enthusiast and car builder. Fazekas began his career as a welder and race car fabricator at S&W Race Cars & Components. In 1993, he left S&W to open the doors to his first custom fabrication and specialty construction business. After twenty years of construction, he decided to return to his ‘roots’ by forming Rod’s Custom Fabrications, specializing in motorcycles and cars. In 2015, he decided to put his electrical skills to the test, by becoming a control systems technician at ES2 Since his youth, Rod would always find time to go racing, working as a mechanic with AMA Pro Motorcycle Flat Track teams and as a 15 year crewman with Hanna Motorsports Jets. In 2009, Rod purchased an original Hanna Eastern Raider nitro funny car (rolling chassis & body) from its second owner. He painstakingly restored it to its original condition, only making required NHRA safety upgrades. Rod briefly campaigned this car as a BB/FC in 2011 & 2012. Currently, he is building two Nitro Nostalgia Exhibition Funny Cars for himself and his wife, Jill. Rod's looking forward to entertaining both New and Old-School FUEL Funny Car fans with trademark long & smokey 1970’s style burn outs. Rod was born, raised and currently resides in Pottstown, Pennsylvania with his wife and their pets.
FK Rod Ends
F.K. Bearings came onto the scene quietly over 30 years ago. They did not make a huge splash, but quickly won the customers over with fair pricing, and plenty of inventory. While the industrial market struggled to get product from the old stand-bys, the racing market embraced a supplier that would maintain inventory throughout the limited season. Recently, to further assure timely delivery, F.K. Bearing set up two regional warehouses. Filled to the brim with inventory, these warehouses can offer localized service for emergency orders.
Over the years the F.K. Bearings product line has grown to encompass many different industries. From the wilds of Baja Mexico, to the "good old boys" of NASCAR....from mowers to care for your lawn, to fitness equipment to groom your body, you'll find F.K. Rod Ends!
