Dear friends and Community, Happy New Year.
Around the world, as the hands of the clock struck midnight, this past Saturday, Billions of people celebrated the beginning of the 2017. Beside being a reason to party, this celebration of the the New Year is also a time of reflection and devotion.
Beginning a New Year brings with it questions of reflection. Questions such as, Was I good this year? Have I wronged any one? Have I done enough for my loved ones? Have I lived by my faith and principles? Important questions, indeed.
Looking back on 2016, I reflect on a year packed with events and new history. On a personal level, my family and I returned to Israel after 4 years in Chicago, representing the Israeli Government with great pride and joy.
When I returned to Israel I've made a big life decision for me and my family, I left the Israeli Government, Joining The Tlalim Group with the purpose of building The Bible Comes to Life, Travel & Education Center.
Consplating on this idea of starting a Bible travel and education center, I consulted my wife Michal. Michal said words that still resonate with me today, “God leads you on your path, it might be a frightening path or hard but we never do something out of convenient, we just do what's right”.
With my family's blessing I started my new journey. This Journey has lead me to China, I found a community thirsty to learn more about the Bible, Faith, Israel, and the connection between the three.
During this year, we've filmed our youtube series “Bible Discoveries”. Bible Discoveries documents important Archeological sites across Israel, bringing Israel to your home.
We have a new website, www.tbctl.com, which is used by pastors in churches from all over the world. Communities from the USA, China, Malaysia and New Zealand use our website as a “Tool box” for Bible study and for planning their first or next visit to Israel.
For these and more, I thank God and humble myself before him. 2016 was an amazing year and I pray that 2017 will be even better!
This coming year, The Bible Comes to Life will focus on North American Communities. I'll be touring the United States, giving lectures and sessions about faith, Israel, Archeology and History, between February 26th-March 13th, 2017.
The Bible Comes to Life is scheduled to visit congregations in Ohio, Illinois, Wisconsin and Florida (dates and locations will be published in next month newsletter and on our facebook page).
