The Bicentennial Campaign Resumes at St. Anthony Mission

With Your Support, Our Vision Can Become a Reality

St. Anthony Mission has resumed our participation in the Bicentennial Campaign, an historic endeavor to strengthen the Kingdom of God in South Carolina in celebration of the Diocese of Charleston turning 200 years old last year. Our original timeline of participation in this effort was paused as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Through the Bicentennial Campaign, we aim to ensure that St. Anthony Mission remains a beautiful, viable, and sustainable space to learn and grow in the love of Christ for generations to come. Additionally, we acknowledge the importance of the statewide Catholic programs and ministries that are crucial to assist the poor, vulnerable, and all who have been adversely impacted by COVID-19. All parishioners will be receiving our Bicentennial Campaign materials in the mail, which include an overview of the campaign at St. Anthony Mission, as well as a pledge card! Our Need and Our Goal

Our parish campaign goal is to raise $240,000 through five-year pledges and one-time gifts. This target exceeds our Diocesan-assigned target of $160,000, and will provide us funding for the following projects: Improvements to the Church: Replacing the air conditioner and increasing the size of the parking lot. Renovations to the Family Life Center and the Parish House: In order to create an ideal learning and educational environment, the Family Life Center will be renovated with new lighting, new paint, and upgrades to media. The parish house will be expanded to encompass the former rectory to provide additional work and meeting spaces.

Our Current Progress

The Need Across Our State Your support will also go towards the following elements

Forming Catholics to Believe in the Gospel: • Catholic School Tuition Assistance • Seminarian Education Fund • Hispanic Ministry Endowment • Formation Ministries Endowment • Continuing Education for Diaconate & Lay Leaders • Facilities Endowment   Living the Gospel through Social Outreach: • Social Ministries Endowment • St. Clare’s Home • Clean of Heart • Outreach Program Fund

All funds raised through the Bicentennial Campaign will be kept in a separate, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization called the Catholic Community Foundation of South Carolina. No funds will be kept by the Diocese of Charleston and will only be used for their intended purpose. Supporting Our Effort

Pledges to the Bicentennial Campaign may be paid over a 5-year period. This allows individuals and families to give generously and spread payments out over a longer period of time. There is no judgement or expectation regarding the size of gift you are able to make. Any and all gifts are appreciated! Pledges are not legally-binding. Pledge cards have been provided in each mailing. If you have not received a pledge card, extras will be available for pick-up in the church.
