The Bidding Has Begun...
Now it's Time for More Fun!
fresh ART, silent ART, Read All About It!
Saturday, Sept. 14, 6 p.m.
The fireworks may have been the highlight of the Labor Day weekend in NKY, but there's even more excitement coming up at fresh ART in the weeks ahead, starting with the silent ART auction, which opened Saturday with more than four dozen original works by local artists.

NEW THIS YEAR! Browse the silent auction and bid from your computer or phone! You can track the bidding online daily (or hourly, if you like!) Click HERE for instructions and see the paintings, sculpture, jewelry, hand-crafted furniture and more that are waiting for your bid.

And now about fresh ART . . . Be sure to tune in to WKRC- Local 12 on Wednesday, Sept. 4 at 9 a.m. when BCM executive director Laurie Risch will appear with artists Billy and Heather Tackett.
Also, freshART committee member Betty Payne will be interviewed with silentARTist Guy McIntosh on WLWT News 5 at 10:15 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 7.

Check out last week's news segment with fresh ART committee member Susan Jackson and artist Tom Gaither on 9 On Your Side.

For more than a quarter century, Behringer-Crawford Museum has hosted one of the region’s top art events, spotlighting local artists, raising funds for its youth education programs and giving art lovers the chance to buy one-of-a-kind original works.

The 27th annual fresh ART auction and party will take place in the museum’s amphitheater at 6 p.m. on Saturday, September 14, with a live auction of “fresh” art created by dozens of artists working that weekend in Devou Park. There also will be a silent ART auction featuring previously created paintings, ceramics, jewelry and more to bid on through Sept. 15.

John Lomax, morning news anchor for Local 12, will serve as emcee for the event, which also will include a cocktail reception, auction preview, music by the Cliff Daly Band and dinner by McHale’s Events and Catering. A highlight of the live auction, which will be conducted by H. David Wallace, will be this year’s “Art from the Heart” by the late artist Wolfgang Ritschel, a mixed media created in 2003 titled “Out West.”

Tickets to fresh ART are $80. To reserve or for more information, call 859-491-4003 or email info@bcmuseum.

A portion of the sale price of each auctioned piece will go to the artist; the balance will be donated to the museum, benefiting area children through BCM’s educational programs. Submitted artworks will be judged by a panel of experts, with $1000 in cash prizes awarded to the first, second and third-place entries by the William & Patricia Applegate Fund.
Here’s wishing that you are finding happiness and satisfaction in the work that you do. Happy Labor Day from BCM!
