Station 1 Coffeehouse believes it is important to support our growing community and local charitable organizations.  Each month, they have committed to donating a portion of all hot beverage sales to a selected local charity. For July, they have generously chosen Big Brothers Big Sisters of North and West Niagara as Charity of the Month!! Stop by their location and show your support (28 Main Street East, Grimsby, ON).

On Monday June 27th, we hosted our 29th Annual golf tournament to raise funds to take children and youth off the waitlist and pair them with caring mentors.    We are pleased to say that our Beatties Bigger Together Golf Classic was a huge success and want to extend a massive thank-you to everyone that participated in the event, whether it be through golfing, sponsorship, donations, or volunteer.

Thank you to Mayor Sandra Easton and the Town of Lincoln for your generous donation from your golf tournament proceeds. Your support will move three young people off the waitlist and into life-changing mentorship.

Thank you to everyone who attended our 85th Anniversary Celebration on June 9th at Inn on the Twenty. Over the past 85 years, the support of community partners, dedicated volunteers, families and staff have changed the lives of countless “Littles”. Opening their doors on May 28, 1937, BBBSNWN served 24 kids that first year; growing to serve over 1,000 Niagara youth annually. Check out the photobooth photos HERE

Match of The Month Tim & Mekki!

Tim & Mekki were matched this month! They are both excited to spend lots of time outside and plan on going for a hike on their first match visit!

Earlier in June we had children and youth on our waitlist attend a paint night. A Big thank you to the YMCA for letting us use their space after our AC broke on one of the hottest days of the year!

On July 13, Tim Hortons Restaurant Owners will be celebrating Camp Day where 100% of coffee proceeds are donated back to Tim Hortons Foundation Camps (THFC). The THFC helps local youth (ages of 12-16) by teaching them skills in a Camp based leadership program, empowering them to change their stories for the better and ultimately break the cycle of poverty.
