You Do What???
When asked the question, “What do you do for a living?” and I answer that I am a Pastor, some people respond, “You couldn’t find anything else to do?” I don’t dare tell them I was called by God… most would say, “Yea right.” I stop them right there and tell them being a Pastor is not for everybody, but I think it is great. I go on:
- Just last week I was feed six times, three really good.
- When I preach, I can talk about anybody I choose.
- My office is on the second floor, so I have uninterrupted naps
- Most people treat me with respect.
Most of all, I serve joyful Christians who love one another and those outside the walls of Williamsburg Presbyterian. They have a passion to help people locally and beyond. They go to any means to serve our children, young people, and their parents. They love and encourage me, Eva and the rest of our staff unconditionally. Finally, and most importantly, “The Lord is their Shepherd.”
