What a weird and wonderful summer! While we have still been navigating the pandemic, it has felt so good to begin to actually see (and hug) family and friends. Next week I am celebrating my birthday (I am a Leo, so I am not shy about my birthday!). Celebrating my own birthday makes me curious about how others mark their day – and how they feel about it. Everyone has their own way of viewing and doing it differently. Birthdays are a great way to connect with people and if you missed a loved one or colleagues birthday because of the pandemic – mark it right now when the weather is good!
The pandemic has taught us that we cannot take our relationships for granted….or our health. We have to not only look at the future but really focus on here, today. That is why our HealthAdvocateX National Conference November 4-5, 2021 will focus on Health Advocacy Now: Lessons from the Pandemic. It is meant to help us all make sense of what has happened: in healthcare, in our society, to us individually. There is still a lot that we don’t know about the virus and while we might feel weary about discussing it – it is important to put it into context and make sure we are responding to pursue the health that we all deserve.
I hope you will mark your calendar, plan on participating (or even sponsoring). If you have ideas about how to improve the conference from last year, we are all ears – we are planning so contact us!
