March 20, 2026 Volume 3 - Issue 30

Dear Saint Families and Friends:

“You don’t know how to pray? Put yourself in the presence of God, and as soon as you have said, ‘Lord, I don’t know how to pray!’ you can be sure you’ve already begun.”

-St. Josemaria Escriva

Greetings from Berks Catholic! Happy Lent! Have you ever had the experience where you have so much on your mind or you are running in so many different directions when you finally stop you don’t know what to do next? If you tried praying at that point, your mind might be swimming with too much to really concentrate. On a day like that, just the simple attempt as the quote above suggests, puts us in the right mind frame to begin praying. During Lent, it’s important that we recognize the need for prayer. Let’s all catch our breath and focus prayerfully on what is yet to come this Lenten season – the Passion, Death and, ultimately, the Resurrection of our Savior. Have a great weekend!

It’s a great day to be a Saint!

A Time to be BOLD!

Senior Academic News

As we come to the end of the 3rd Quarter on Friday, March 27th, some Senior Saints need to evaluate their current grade in ALL classes. Seniors who receive a failing grade in ANY class, including gym, at the end of the school year will not be allowed to graduate. This means he/she will not receive their diploma, and the end of year transcript will reflect the fact that the student failed a class and has yet to satisfy the credits needed to receive their diploma. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Vilardo, Dean of Studies and Counseling, at nvilardo@berkscatholic.org or 610-374-8361 ext. 234.

If you are in danger of failing any class for the year, you should speak to your teacher immediately to discuss ways to improve your grade prior to year's end.

Superintendent’s Visit

Every three years, the Superintendent and his Office of Education team make an official visit to school. They come to spend some time with administration and staff, to hold a roundtable discussion with both teachers and students, tour the building, visit classrooms and simply to enjoy the atmosphere of being in a school. This past Tuesday, we welcomed Superintendent Dr. Michael St. Pierre and his staff for the day. We enjoyed their presence and we were excited to show them what BC is all about.
