Reminders from the Dean of Students
It has been a wonderful first four weeks at Berks Catholic, and I have enjoyed seeing the students each day and welcoming our new families into the community. Our theme this year is about being Bold: bold in how we learn, how we live our faith, and how we hold ourselves to lofty standards. Over the past few weeks, I have shared some reminders with the students that I would like to also share with our parents and guardians:
- We continue to encourage our Saints to be bold in showing care for others by driving safely in the parking lot and keeping to the 15 mile-per-hour speed limit for everyone’s safety.
- I am also grateful to the parents who respond to our new daily late-to-school emails, as this helps us work together; being bold in responsibility means arriving on time, with students entering the building by 7:45 a.m. so they are seated in homeroom by 7:50 a.m.
- Last week, students were reminded of the importance of following the dress code as a way of being bold in excellence. Gentlemen must be clean-shaven and free of visible piercings or tattoos, while ladies may only wear earrings (nose piercings are not allowed), with skirts no more than three inches above the knee. Ladies also are expected to wear black socks that are at least ¼ length and without brand logos.
- All students must wear a polo shirt under their quarter zips, and proper school attire on Mass days. Spirit Wear and dress-down clothing are not permitted, even if Mass is on a Friday.
School IDs
All Saints received their Student ID card, a lanyard and plastic pouch to hold the ID card this week. It is expected that students wear their ID every day. Students have been reminded several times this year that they must do so. The ID is part of the dress code, part of our safety protocols and must be worn during school hours. If a student does not have the ID in the morning, he/she will need to rent a temporary ID from the office for $1.00. Failure to wear an ID will result in a demerit. Thank you for reenforcing this message at home. Reminder: All students must present their student ID for admission to any athletic event. Students without an ID will be required to purchase a ticket to attend.
Picture Retakes
Picture retakes will take place next Wednesday, September 24th. Any student who was not present on the day pictures were originally taken (during the first week of school) should be prepared to have his/her picture taken.
Any seniors who have not yet had their yearbook photo taken will have their picture taken at this time.
- Girls: A black drape will be provided to wear during the photo session.
- Boys: Please come clean-shaven. The photographer will have suit coats, shirts, and ties available if needed.
Back to School Forms
WE ARE STILL COLLECTING! Families are reminded to send in the Family Survey Form (light gray form), Language Survey Form (purple form) and the Nurse Forms (tan form) to the Main Office as soon as possible. These are extremely important because Berks Catholic receives federal dollars based on information provided from these important forms.
2025-2026 Parent/Student Handbook
The Berks Catholic Student Handbook for the 2025-2026 is now available online. You can access the digital version by visiting the Campus Life link on our website, 2025-2026 BCHS Parent/Student Handbook.
We encourage all students and parents to review this handbook, as it contains essential information regarding school policies, code of conduct, and important resources for a successful school year.
As part of our annual process, we require all families to review the handbook and complete the Parent/Student Acknowledgment form. Also, we ask that you complete the Consent Form for Use of Electronic Communications and Social Media. The link for the forms are below for your convenience:
