Dear Saint Families and Friends:

“The smallest act of kindness is worth more than the grandest intention.”

-Oscar Wilde

Greetings from Berks Catholic! As we get ready to celebrate World Kindness Day next Thursday, I think it’s good to pause and reflect on the kindness that surrounds our BC community. I would hope every student, staff member, parent and guardian could share at least one story about some kindness they experienced or witnessed at BC. In the last week alone, watching our Saints embrace a classmate whose father passed away brought tears to my eyes. But simple things abound as well. You may have seen on social media, a Freshman helping his friend tie his tie. The community rallied together last week during Spirit Week to help those at Catholic Charities by making both significant food and monetary donations. Last Friday afternoon, a Saint came into the office asking about the musical tryouts. While he had never been in any theater production, he was going to try something new, despite some trepidation. The office staff encouraged and assured him of his decision. While the calendar tells us that World Kindness Day is next Thursday, my prayer is that our Saints and this community celebrate that day every day! Have a great weekend.

It’s a great day to be a Saint!

A Time to be BOLD!
