(Washington, D.C.) — Data shows that
Black same-sex couples are more likely to raise children than white same-sex couples. Despite their prevalence, Black LGBTQ+ parents have been left out of the national conversation on LGBTQ+ family building.
xHood created the Black Parent Pride Summit to provide intentional visibility, deep connections and real support for Black Queer folx anywhere on their journey to and through parenting. Previously hosted in Atlanta, GA, xHood has announced this year's Black Parent Pride Summit from May 26—May 28 at Eaton Hotel in Washington, D.C., to provide support for a new region of LGBTQ+ families.
Over 150 attendees from all over the country will enjoy a three-day programming schedule that includes poignant talks and interactive workshops, LGBTQ+ family building, nurturing resources, and opportunities to share their stories with people who understand the joys and pains of their parental experiences.
