A Message from Dr. Hilton

Dear Bradfield Families,

To all the incredible Bradfield mothers, grandmothers, aunts, and guardians—thank you for the endless love, strength, and support you provide each day. Your dedication, care, and nurturing spirit shape not only your children's lives but also the heart of our entire school family. Happy Mother’s Day!

Last week, our sweet second graders participated in their traditional Mother’s Day Tea where mothers were presented with adorable hats and personalized letters. A special thank you to second grade teachers Caroline Fischer, Kay Jones, Hannah Lundstrom, and Leigh Anne Ulrich for organizing this festive and special occasion.

Finally, the Bradfield Staff cannot begin to express our gratitude for being showered with love this week for Staff Appreciation Week. Each day was filled with special touches from so many. We would like to extend a special thank you to Claudia Conard for leading the charge with her wonderful team of volunteers as well as PTA, Jake Francis and Dads Club for going above and beyond to make us feel appreciated. From breakfast tacos, Layo Lunch, JD’s Chippery, Hamburger Man, HP Pie Lady cookies, and charcuterie cups, we were treated like royalty to say the least. We are honored to have the opportunity to work side by side with your most precious jewels! Thank you for your generosity, kindness, and support. We are forever grateful.

I hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful weekend, and I will see you all tomorrow morning.

Kindly,

Dr. Aimee Hilton

As we are drawing near to the end of school, please stop by and pick up all medication that you have for your child in the clinic. Any medication not picked up on the last day of school will be discarded, as we are not allowed to store medications over the summer. This includes Epi-Pens, inhalers, and all prescription and over-the counter medications.

Thank you for a wonderful 2025-2026 school year.

Have a happy and healthy summer!

A Message from our PTA President, Kamela Aboussie

Dear Bradfield Families,

I officially have that “end of the year” feeling, and this is when I become the most nostalgic and a little weepy about turning the page to the next chapter.

With a graduating 4th grader, I’m making note and holding in my memory the unique ways being at Bradfield and living in our community makes these precious years extra special. It’s really the little things….first day of school and birthday crowns, selfies during cafeteria visits, a trip to spend hard-earned chores’ cash at the supply shop, their little yellow lunch trays, Scholastic posters (still alive and well after all these years!), Bronco’s YMCA jerseys, even the surprisingly quick transition from sweet children’s clothing to Not Just Soccer, and Bradfield’s unique skyline of the Highland Park Village Theater and some MiCo in the air! These are the days!

As we enter the last two weeks of school I want to extend an extra thank you to our PTA executive board. They have worked above and beyond to keep our ship headed in the right direction by overseeing no less than 42 committees! Claudia Conard, Carolyn Cross, Abby Evans, Lee Drummond, Aubrey Labanowski, Stephanie Marynick, Laura McCallan, Jen Morton, Katie Patterson, Corrie Rae, Rachel Reed, Cindy Revol, Sara Shuart, Allison Small, and Kelly Sporich have not only worked hard and quietly behind the scenes, but they have also served as tremendous friends, confidants and a built-in support. We had our last executive meeting on Tuesday and there wasn’t a dry eye at the table! I love each of you dearly.

We have a meaningful week ahead at school. Tomorrow we will honor three beloved and tenured Bradfield teachers as we celebrate the retirements of 4th grade teacher Mrs. Barnes, Kindergarten teacher Mrs. Keffer and Spanish teacher Senora Parker. I asked them to answer some questions about their time at Bradfield and about what has made it so special. Please take a look at what they had to say.

On Tuesday we will dedicate Lila and Eloise’s Learning Garden to Lila Bonner and Eloise Peck after school on the small playground. This is close to my heart, as it is to many others. I invite you to join us for what will be a very sweet and heartfelt afternoon. On Mother’s Day Missy and Caitlin are on my mind and in my heart and my prayers, and I’m looking forward to honoring their little girls in two days.

To all the moms at Bradfield, I hope you feel celebrated today, and I hope you have a wonderful week!

With love,

Kam
