Today we as a community join together to express our gratitude to those who have served and are still serving America in the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and Coast Guard. On behalf of the entire Washington School Community, I thank you for the sacrifices you have made for every citizen of the United States in peacetime and in war.

Veterans, you are our grandparents, parents, siblings, teachers, coaches, and classmates. We honor you for your service to our country, and we thank you for the sterling example you set for our students of the high moral value of putting service of others before yourself. You are the best reminder that when Americans from every background work together we can accomplish anything as a nation!

Jeff Pinnow, Head of School
We want to recognize our two staff members who are veterans. Thank you to Jim Allen and Jay Clifton for your service. We are proud to have you at Washington School!
We were not able to host our annual community-wide Veterans Day Tribute today, but our our 5th graders presented letters and art to American Legion representatives, Steve Sweet and Ronnie Stewart, and our own Jay Clifton. We are hoping to honor our veterans next year, and we hope you will visit our YouTube page to watch our 2019 program. Our students and teachers provide an amazing program each year.
