Happy Holidays, OCFSD!

Can it really be the end of 2021 and the start of a brand new year? It doesn’t seem possible that we have come this far. But, we have. And we have done it together. I want to take a moment to say thank you.

Thank you for trusting us with your children every day. Thank you for your constant support. Thank you for making OCFSD a great place to learn and work.

No matter the holiday you celebrate, I hope you have a chance to relax and do some of the things that bring you joy. I look forward to seeing our students in the new year. And while I recognize that some of our challenges will still exist, I also know it is a chance for more celebrations. And I can’t wait!

9th Grade Film Wins Best Picture!

9th-grade future filmmakers can add "Best Picture Winners" to their resume after taking home one of the top spots in the "A Day in the Life of X" video showcase.

The winning film was produced by freshmen Kira Bernal, Jo Jo Ahrens and Mike Gajewski. Over 60 students from grades 9 through 12 voted in eight separate categories with "Pickles" bringing home the top prize. Congratulations to our students!

Edgewood 5th Graders Spread Holiday Cheer

Edgewood Elementary 5th graders know that the best way to spread holiday cheer is singing loud for all to hear! This special group of students volunteered their time ringing the bell for the Salvation Army and singing holiday tunes for patrons at Woodman's this week!

Attention Incoming Freshman!

On Thursday, January 6, 2022, from 5:30 p.m to 7:30 p.m., Oak Creek High School will host an orientation for incoming freshmen at the Ninth Grade Center. There will be one presentation at 5:30 p.m. and one at 6:15 p.m. Families can choose which presentation to attend, but we recommend last names beginning A-L attend the first presentation, and last names beginning M-Z attend the second presentation, if possible. OC Virtual Students Share Holiday Message

OCFSD Highlights

They're headed to state! OCFSD's two Lego League Teams, EA Industries and Radioactive Raiders are headed to the state competition after an impressive performance at the regional match this past weekend! Congratulations and good luck!

Students at Shepard Hills are counting down the days until Winter Break by spreading some holiday cheer & kindness.

The 12 Days of Kindness Challenge inspires students to do something kind each day like write a thank you note to someone who has helped them or ask someone new to play.

OC Virtual students continued their family monthly outings this month with a trip to the Schlitz Audubon Center. There, they explored the outdoors and participated in a special program about raptors!
