The NLA Board Election

Results Are In!

My fellow members,

I want to extend my thanks to all eligible members who took the time to vote in this year's Board of Directors election. This year's election had a record-breaking voter turnout with over 51% of eligible members voting this year. It was great to see so many members take an interest and use their voice to help guide the association for the coming year.

Serving on the Board is a great honor and even greater responsibility. The Board works tirelessly year-round to further the NLA's mission to educate and advocate for our industry.

I would like to congratulate all of the newly-elected Board members and thank everyone who ran in the election. Your dedication and passion for the industry are to be admired and it is comforting to know that there are so many qualified people ready and willing to roll up their sleeves and get involved.

It takes courage to step up to the task, win or lose (and I speak from experience, having lost my first Board election). Try, try again...this is not the end of the road! On a personal note, I am humbled to have been re-elected this year. As I have stated, I feel that I have more work to do and more to give to the NLA and this industry. Thank you for trusting in me to continue that work.

Running for the NLA Board is just the the first step of commitment to serve and improve our industry. There are many ways for all members to get involved, whether it be serving on a committee, participating in show events, etc. I urge those who did not see success in this year's election to consider running again and to also find other ways to contribute, make a difference and hopefully inspire others to run as well.

The newly-elected Board members will take their seats at the January 2024 Board Meeting.
