We are excited to announce hoopla digital, a new digital media service where you can access over half a million titles, in six different formats: movies, TV shows, music, audiobooks, eBooks, and comics.
 
Hoopla launches for Beverly residents on November 1. Visit www.hoopladigital.com or download the hoopla digital app from the Apple or Google Play store to your mobile device. New England’s General Stores: Author Talk with Ted Reinstein

“Chronicle” reporter and author, Ted Reinstein, joins us on Thursday, November 29 at 7 PM to discuss his new book, New England’s General Stores: Exploring an American Classic.

Bookmobile Service Resumes!

Our new Bookmobile Librarian, Katie Marsh, is excited to take the Bookmobile back on the road! Katie has returned home to New England after spending the past two years in Minnesota, where she worked in the Hennepin County Library and Washington County Library Systems. Join us for weekly English practice groups on Fridays from 11 - 11:45 AM. For Adult English Language Learners of all levels. No group on November 23.

NaNoWriMo Write-Ins
We're excited to be hosting NaNoWriMo Write-Ins this November. What's NaNoWriMo ? It's National Novel Writing Month. You can write a novel with us on Sundays, November 4, 18 and 25 from 1 - 4:30 PM.

Midterm Madness!
Our election season cinema series concludes on November 16 at 1 PM with Election . Thanks to the Friends of the Beverly Public Library for sponsoring this program.

All-Ages Wreath Decorating Workshop
Bring the entire family to one of our fun wreath decorating sessions on Saturday, December 1 from 11 AM - 1 PM or 2 - 4 PM. Registration required .

On December 6 at 6 PM come to Winter Book Crafts and enjoy some hot chocolate while you give old books a new life.

BGA Group Exhibit

This month the main library is hosting an exhibit by the Beverly Guild of Artists in the Sohier Room. The exhibit will include artwork in a range of media with a variety of themes, techniques and styles. The exhibit is free and open to the public during regular library hours and when meetings or library programs are not in progress.
Call for Artists

Are you an artist looking for free public display space, or do you know someone who is? The main library is currently seeking artists to fill our 2019-2020 exhibit schedule. Pizza Book Club

Read a great book, discuss it, and eat free pizza! Pizza Book Club is open to teens in grades 6-12, but is especially good for middle school. (BMS students: Ask your teacher if Pizza Book Club can fulfill your independent reading requirement.) Our book this quarter is When You Reach Me by Rebecca Stead. Community Baby Shower
Saturday, November 17 at 3 PM
New parents (of babies 0-12 months old) and expectant parents are invited to join us for our first Community Baby Shower! Hear about local family resources, participate in an introductory baby story time, create a keepsake for your baby, and meet new families. We hope to see you there! Questions? November A rt: “A Retrospective Show”
November 3 - 29
Constance Festo Lafond works in many mediums, including watercolor, acrylic, photography and mixed media. She is largely an impressionist using colorful compositions of figurative work and abstracted landscapes. Her work has been shown at many venues including the deCordova. Constance will host an “Artist’s Reception” on Saturday, November 3 from 1 - 4 PM.
 
“The Nutcracker Tea”
 Sunday, December 2 from 12 - 2 PM
Join us for our annual holiday open house, featuring visits from the Nutcracker, the Sugar Plum Fairy and Mrs. Santa Claus. We’ll have a musical performance, crafts for children, and festive treats, tea and holiday punch. The Tea is sponsored by the Friends of the Beverly Farms Library.
 
Knitting for Charity
We are inviting all handcrafters to knit or crochet a warm winter item for a child or adult in need. Items can be dropped off at the Beverly Farms Library anytime through January. The items will be donated to Beverly Bootstraps and will be given to needy adults and children. All donations should be new items.

Music with Dara
Friday, November 2 at 10:30 AM
Join Dara each month for a lively, interactive music program. The show is geared for children 18 months - 5 years. All are welcome.
