Boone staff gearing up for school opening
Boone teachers and staff have been busy moving into classrooms and gearing up for our inaugural year! Our staff includes 24 teachers coming from HPISD schools, all of whom moved to Boone voluntarily because they are excited about helping open our new school! Our staff also has 15 teachers joining us from other districts. Collectively, our amazing staff has 274 years of teaching experience!

The staff list is now available on the Boone website and will be updated to include staff pictures in August.
Renovations underway to personalize Boone
Our school building is now sporting a new name tag, and other renovations are underway to turn "School #5" into Boone Elementary. We are excited to reveal other changes happening in the coming weeks! Follow us on Instagram or Facebook to see the latest!

We have so many fun events planned for our inaugural year at Boone! Save the date for these awesome events, and see the full calendar on our PTO website!
35 more volunteers still needed for the cafeteria!
Did you know that volunteers are the ONLY servers and cashiers in the cafeteria? We can't serve lunch without your help! Some of our shifts are only half full, which simply won't work. We need 35 more people to take shifts.

Some ideas of how you could help:

  • Not signed up for a shift yet? Grab one!
  • Signed up for 1 shift but could do 2? Grab another!
  • Splitting a shift? Take a whole shift instead!
  • Signed up for a 5th week but have more time you could give? Switch to a more frequent shift and leave these open for working parents who need fewer.
  • Can't make it every month but could share a shift with your spouse? Great!
  • Have a grandparent in town? Ask them to take a shift!

It's just 2 hours per month, and we currently have openings every day but Friday. We need everyone to pitch in! Click here to submit your availability, or contact Lyndal Greth .

Seeking information about extracurricular groups
Do you lead an extracurricular group like the Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, or Destination Imagination? Are you involved in a popular sports club like Scots baseball, soccer or lacrosse? If so, the best way to spread the word about your group to the Boone community is through the Community page on the PTO website. To have your group's information added, visit our website .

This page will only be used to post basic information about who to contact or how to join groups which may be of interest to our students. It is not a community feedback forum or a place for general community announcements.

Looking for information about how to join these groups? Be sure to check the Community Board regularly for updates!
Spread the word about the Boone Preschool Association
The Boone Preschool Association is now accepting members! The BPA is a great way to meet other families with young children who will one day be Boone Bulldogs. The BPA will host play dates and fun events for the kids, as well as parent meetings and socials . The BPA will also help raise money for Boone Elementary School.

Membership is open to anyone who lives in the Boone attendance zone and has a child Kindergarten-age or younger. Those with older children can also join as sustaining members in order to participate in social events and have access to group communications. (Please note that the traditional incoming Kindergarten events may not be able to happen this summer due to COVID-19 restrictions.)
