Season wrap up
Our reigning 3x defending VVAL and NCS Scholastic Team champions delivered one of the most successful seasons this year for the school, combining dominance in league play, postseason success, and strong community engagement. The team finished their season record of overall 26-7, 12-0 in the Vine Valley Athletic League.
Following their dominant league performance, the Braves earned the No. 3 seed in the CIF North Coast Section Division II Girls Basketball Championships, placing them among the section's top contenders. Justin-Siena’s postseason run showcased the team’s defensive intensity and balanced offense as they advanced through the bracket and reached the NCS Division II championship game for a second consecutive season. In the title matchup, the Braves faced powerhouse Salesian College Preparatory. Despite a hard-fought effort, Justin-Siena fell 62–52 while still securing a birth in the prestigious CIF Northern California Regional Basketball Championships, receiving the No. 11 seed in Division II.
The Braves also made a meaningful impact in the Napa community this season through their Women in Sports Night, an event that celebrated female athletics while giving back. During the event, the team collected donations for NEWS Domestic Violence & Sexual Abuse Services, a Napa-based nonprofit that supports survivors of domestic violence and abuse. The evening also featured a Youth Night, welcoming young athletes from across Napa County to attend the game and celebrate women’s sports.The event brought together students, families, and community members while supporting an important cause.

Season wrap up
The Varsity Boys Basketball team at Justin-Siena High School wrapped up a strong 2025–26 campaign highlighted by a league tournament championship and a return to postseason play in the CIF North Coast Section Boys Basketball Championships.
After navigating a competitive regular season schedule, the Braves caught momentum late in league play to end the regular season with a 5-game winning streak. Justin-Siena advanced through the bracket and defeated Casa Grande High School 52-41 in the championship game, securing the program the VVAL tournament title.
Following the league championship, Justin-Siena earned a spot in the CIF North Coast Section Division II playoffs, receiving the No. 15 seed in the tournament bracket. In the opening round of the postseason, the Braves were set to face off #2 seed, Cardinal Newman. The team ended their season 17-12.
Between their strong league finish with an overall record of 10-4, VVAL tournament championship title, and playoff opportunity, the Braves capped off another impressive season. Although they say goodbye to 4 of their seniors, with many of the bench returning and lower level students preparing to level up, the team looks hopeful for the 2026-27 season to add another chapter to the growing tradition of success for Justin-Siena boys basketball.

The 2025–26 season was defined not only by strong performances on the field, but also by the team’s commitment to building community. Their strong finish (9-6-1 overall) earned the Braves a spot in the North Coast Section (NCS) Division II playoffs as the No. 15 seed, an accomplishment that capped a resilient regular season and allowed the team to compete among the region’s top programs.
While the team found success on the field, the season was also marked by meaningful community engagement. During their Women in Sports Night, the Braves hosted youth athletes from across Napa County and collected donations for the Napa County chapter of Girls on the Run, raising awareness and support for programs that empower young girls through sports and physical activity. The evening brought together student-athletes, families, and community members in celebration of female participation in athletics.
The program also partnered with the Napa/Vallejo Dutch Bros Coffee team to host a Dutch Bros Night in celebration of Women in Sports Week. The event drew more than 500 spectators to Dodd Stadium for the rivalry matchup against Vintage High School, creating an energetic atmosphere and showcasing the strong support behind Justin-Siena athletics.

The 2025–26 varsity boys soccer season for Justin-Siena was defined by perseverance, growth, and the opportunity to compete in postseason play. The Braves finished the season with an overall 7-13-4 record, battling through tight league contests and several close matches.
The Braves’ efforts throughout the year earned them a spot in the North Coast Section (NCS) Division IV playoffs as the No. 16 seed, an accomplishment that allowed the team to extend their season and compete against the top programs in the section. In the opening round of the postseason, Justin-Siena faced Petaluma in a tightly contested match that ended in a 3–2 result in overtime, closing the Braves’ season after a hard-fought battle.
With returning players gaining playoff experience and younger athletes continuing to develop, the Justin-Siena boys soccer program looks poised to build on this season’s growth.
Wrestling
VVAL Awards
The Justin-Siena wrestling program wrapped up an impressive season with determined performances at the NCS Division III Championships at Clear Lake High School, and the North Coast Section Championships the following weekend. Throughout the year, Braves wrestlers demonstrated resilience, growth, and a commitment to competing at a high level against some of the toughest competition in the region.
At the NCS Division III Championships, the Justin-Siena boys team placed 8th out of 24 teams, highlighted by several podium finishes. Jayden W.’27 captured a 1st-place finish, while Rian A.’28 placed 3rd, earning both wrestlers qualification to the NCS Championships. Additional top finishes included Frank R.’29, Ryder S.’27, and Marcus S.’28, each finishing 6th, and Anthony C’28 and Yohaan M.’29, who both placed 8th. The Braves were also represented by Arlo V.-M.’29, Nagi H.’26, Benjamin F.’27, Gabriel E.’27, and James B.’29, who competed with determination throughout the tournament.
On the girls side, the Braves placed 10th out of 22 teams, led by standout performances from Moana M.’28, who finished 2nd, and Sophia M.-M.’29, who earned 3rd place. Both athletes advanced to the NCS Championships, continuing an impressive season for the Justin-Siena girls wrestling program. Sophia, Moana, Rian, and Jayden all advanced to the NCS Championships at James Logan High School, where they competed against the best wrestlers in the section. Freshman Sophia, finished her first varsity season with an 18–16 record, earning her NCS berth with a 2nd-place finish at the VVAL Championships and 3rd at the NCS D3 Championships. Although she went 0–2 at NCS, she faced strong opponents, including the eventual 7th-place finisher, gaining valuable experience that will help shape the rest of her career.
Sophomore Rian concluded his season with a 19–16 record, returning to the NCS stage after qualifying with a 2nd-place finish at VVAL and 3rd at the NCS D3 Championships. While he finished 0–2 at NCS, his experience competing at the sectional level will serve as motivation for continued growth.
Sophomore Moana posted an impressive 13–6 record after returning from an injury-shortened season last year. She qualified for NCS by winning the VVAL Championship and finishing 2nd at the NCS D3 Championships. Battling through injuries throughout the season, Moana delivered a strong showing at NCS, earning a 7th-place finish and a spot on the podium.
Junior Jayden capped off a dominant season with 40+ wins and just five losses. A consistent tournament champion throughout the year, he finished 2nd at VVAL and claimed the NCS Division III Championship. Returning to the NCS Championships looking to improve on last year’s 8th-place finish, Jayden powered through the bracket, winning each match by technical fall or pin, to earn an outstanding 3rd-place finish.
The team’s success extended beyond the mat. Justin-Siena was honored with the NCS Scholar Athlete Team Award, recognizing the program as one of the top three academic teams in its division. The award highlights the team’s dedication to maintaining high academic standards while competing at an elite athletic level.
Spring Sports
- Looking to defend last season's VVAL and NCS titles, Boys Golf is in full swing. With an impressive 4-0 start in dual matches and the team coming in 3rd place in the St. Mary’s Stockton Invitational, the team has their eyes set for a deep run in the NCS playoffs.
- Track and Field has attended 1 official meet this season and the Braves showed up ready to go! At the Big Cat Invitational, Mackenzie C.’27 won the 100m overall, along with her 4 x 100 relay team of Bella S.’27, Bella M.’26, and Georgia C.’29, winning their heat and 2nd place overall. Lainey R.’26 won the 400m; Olive L.’29 had two strong heat wins in the 200 and 400m; and Stuart F.’28 ran two strong personal record marks in the 800m and 1600m. Many of our athletes earned top 10 finishes reflecting great efforts all around to start the season off!
- Our defending VVAL champ Varsity Baseball team is off to a 4-2 start. The team has a full schedule this season looking to earn a position in the playoffs come May .
- Softball is on the rise! This year with over 30 students coming out for tryouts, the Braves fielded a JV team which we have not had in many years. The varsity team is currently 3-1 and excited to continue their growth this season.
- Varsity Boys Tennis is 4-1 to start the season as they ready to defend their league title. The team had strong wins over Vintage (7-0), Marin Academy (6-1), and Cardinal Newman (6-1). The Braves continue to grow in confidence, depth, and composure across the lineup.
- Swimming had their first meet of the VVAL season, opening up against American Canyon. Within that first meet, the team already earned 5 NCS qualifying swims! With 2 months still to go in the season, there is no telling what the team will accomplish come May!
- Varsity Girls Lacrosse is 3-1 to start the season and finding success in each game they play. Another reigning VVAL champion as a team had Yasmine K.’26 achieving 100th career goal as a Brave against Sonoma Academy, helping lead the team to a smashing 16-5 win to start the VVAL season.
- Varsity Boys Lacrosse, despite having had a slow start to the season, has shown resilience and determination as the team continues to build chemistry and grow together on the field. The Braves have competed hard in every matchup, using the early games as opportunities to gain experience and refine their play. With their strong work ethic and positive team culture, the group remains focused on improving each week as the season progresses.
