To my St. John's family and friends - thank you so much for the outpouring of generosity and love which you exhibited on my retirement from St. John's. The cross, the monetary gift, and CAKE! You are truly a gracious congregation and faith family. I am honored to continue to serve in ministry and will see you regularly as we worship together.
Best wishes, Fay

Family Eldercare Fan Drive
We are partnering with the Family Eldercare Fan Drive. Each summer the Fan Drive distributes box fans to seniors and adults with disabilities in Austin who are unable to afford air conditioning, and the need continues to grow in the Texas heat. The cost of a 20-inch box fan from Walmart is approximately $25. The last day to make donations is August 15.
Ways to donate:
- Submit a check, written to St. John's Episcopal Church and write FAN DRIVE in the description field at the bottom of the check.
- Put your cash in a donation envelope. Write your name and FAN DRIVE on the envelope.
- Make an online donation.
Mail your check to the P.O. Box address or place your donation in the collection plate on Sundays.
Contact Sandra Ward, 1redsand2@gmail.com for more information.

School Supply Drive
It is that time of year again. We will be participating in a back-to-school supply drive for McBee Elementary School, as we have done for many years. For those of you who aren’t familiar with McBee, it has a very underprivileged student body. We will collect supplies until September 4, 2022. Below is a list of potential supplies, if however, you don’t want to purchase supplies, you may make a monetary donation with the “school supplies” noted on your gift.
Supplies needed are:
- #2 pencils
- Wide ruled spiral notebooks, solid colored covers
- Wide ruled composition notebooks, with solid-colored covers
- Boxed crayons – 24 count
- Washable markers
- Colored pencils – 12 count box
- Scissors – either blunt tip or pointed
- Glue – either bottled or stick
- Rulers – plastic
- Kleenex
- Paper towels
- Dry erase markers
- Pencil top erasers
- Large erasers
- Individual pencil sharpeners
As more items are told to me, I will add it to the list.
