A Message From the CEO/CFO
George Richards CEO/CFO Archway Programs
Dear Archway Family,

We are pleased to announce that all Archway Programs are back to business as usual with a full schedule of activities planned for the upcoming year.

Students and staff in our schools are happy to be resuming their daily routines and getting back to a new normal that includes precautions to maintain a safe and healthy environment for everyone.

Where we are and what we are doing:
Archway has a 75% employee vaccination rate, and the remainder of our employees are being tested weekly until they are vaccinated.

We are following CDC, state, and county health department recommendations to continue to minimize the risk of infection or transmission by enforcing recommended protocols that include the following: hand-sanitation stations; encouraging frequent hand washing; wearing masks for all students, staff, and teachers; and maintaining safe social distancing of a minimum of 6 feet.

Although there have been many changes over the past year and a half, our commitment to our students, consumers, staff, and our community remains our highest priority. We want to thank all our staff, parents, students, and consumers for their continued support and dedication. We are all in this together, and together we will get through it and continue to prosper.

If you have any questions about the latest CDC guidelines, please visit https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/community/index.html. You may also contact Denise Milazzo, Executive Director of Human Resources by phone: 856.767.5757 at extension 221 with any additional questions.

Sincerely,
George Richards
CEO/CFO
It's Great to be Back!
Welcome Back to School: Books, Apple, Chalkboard
Upper School
The Upper School started the 2021-2022 school year with approximately 120 students and 80 staff members. They have 19 classrooms in total this year, with students ranging in age from 5 through 21. The school continues to utilize a behavior modification system, where frequent rewards and activities will occur as the year progresses. Older students will continue to work through our Careers Program, accessing both on and off campus SLEs (structured learning experiences.)

Recently, staff participated in a 2-day training, prior to the students arriving for the new school year. On the first day, there were 5 trainings conducted, focusing on: COVID questions/updates, CPI (verbal de-escalation techniques), i-Ready assessments, policy/procedures review, and transgender students in NJ.
Lower School
The Lower School started off the new school year eager to get back to their routine. They are all looking forward to a great new school year, and as you see in their smiling eyes, they are happy to be together again.

Blue Violet Flowers and Gifts Has a New Team!
Blue Violet Flowers and Gifts is under new management, and we want to introduce you to the new team!
Our talented new manager, Tricia, is an experienced floral designer with excellent managerial skills that are complementary to our mission. Bonnie, also a floral designer, will be working closely with Tricia and the rest of the team to create fresh new floral designs for our customers. Carissa, the flower shop assistant, and also an ACT consumer, is an essential part of the team. She provides various services throughout the store, and she is often the voice on the other end of the line when you call. Stephanie is our new cashier and delivery driver. She provides us with the ability to offer our customers courteous local delivery, and she is the team member most likely to assist you with your purchases at the register.

They are all excited to be a part of growing the business and maintaining our commitment to the community. If you would like to show your support of Blue Violet Flowers and Gifts, please share our website with your friends and family: https://bluevioletflowers.org/.

Archway Program Purchases Digital Speed Signs
While driving along Jackson Road, right before Archway School, you may have noticed two new additions to the existing signage. As part of our continued commitment to the safety of our children, consumers, and staff, Archway purchased two digital radar speed signs. The signs are mounted below the existing speed limit signs and are visible from both directions approaching Archway School. The signs provide a speed check reminding drivers of the 25-mph speed limit in a school zone. We are optimistic that the visual reminder will encourage drivers to let off the gas and slow down while passing through.

ACT Program Fun & Games Day 2021
The ACT Program had a Fun & Games Day in August. It was a beautiful opportunity to get outdoors and enjoy a mild summer day! Some of the outdoor activities included frisbee, whiffle ball, football toss, and sidewalk art.
Fun Day 2021 at the Upper School, Lower School and Cooper's Poynt
Wow! What a great summer Fun Day! This was the closest to a normal school experience in over a year! Thank you to all the staff for providing a safe and nurturing environment and for teaching our students through fun and exciting activities. See below for a few photo highlights of our exciting day!
2021 Olympics Opening Ceremony & Games
Congratulations to all the participants in the 2021 Summer Olympic Games! Athletes and staff paraded through the Atco campus carrying the Olympic torch signifying the start of the games. Noah regaled us with the National Anthem, not leaving a dry eye in the crowd. Once the games began, not only did the students perform superbly, but they also showed off their creative skills with the team names they chose and the team t-shirts they designed. They showed the world what true teamwork can accomplish, and they reminded us that hard work does pay off! We are Archway Proud of every one of them!

ACT Water Activity Day
ACT staff and consumers had a great time during our Water Activity Day. The August heat was no match for streams of cool water and bursting water balloons! The clients had a blast playing water balloon baseball, shooting water at targets, and eventually turning the cool spray on each other! The day culminated with a BBQ with Mr. Ron from the Upper School at the heated helm cooking delicious food for everyone. What an exciting way to spend the day with friends.
Direct Support Professionals Honored
