COVID-19 left local families looking for help in ways they never before contemplated. Our local service agencies, unable to meet the demands on their resources, asked for help and TBF answered the call. Thanks to your generosity, we have been able to help address the unprecedented need for food, shelter, utility payments,transportation and more.
As a result of the enthusiastic response:
- More than $90,000 has been distributed for food to thousands of people through 11 agencies operating drive-through pantries.
- Over 380 individuals from 80+ families have received rent or utility assistance.
- Our partner, Café of Life, was able to increase the number of families receiving weekend take-home meal kits from 55 to 125.
- Transportation-related assistance for 180 families has been distributed in the form of auto repairs and gas cards.
