Welcome Reception for New Executive Director!

We are excited to celebrate the announcement of Kim Snow as Franklin Center's new Executive Director! Join us TODAY from 4:00-5:30 pm for an open meet and greet at our campus. Appetizers and drinks will be served. Click here to RSVP!

Please note: Owl's Nest will be available at no charge for those attending.

Tuition Assistance

We are now accepting tuition assistance applications through Blackbaud for the 2023-24 school year. Please note: Since Blackbaud Financial Management is a new module for us this year, those who submit an application should sign up as a "new user" and use Franklin Academy instead of a school code.

The deadline for applications is Friday, Feb 17, 2023. You will be asked to submit income and tax information for 2022, so we encourage you to file your 2022 taxes at your earliest convenience. Incomplete applications or those not containing verifying documents may not be considered.

For technical questions regarding the Blackbaud online application, please contact: 1 (800) 360-8027 or [email protected]

Classroom Highlight: Pigeon River

By John Gabriel

Pigeon River has been getting back in the habit of school after the long break, and has been absolutely rocking it! The students have been researching various towns and cities in Minnesota to find and report on their origins and population breakdowns. They are doing a fine job of understanding the progression of our state and navigating through its geography and history. They have also been expressing themselves creatively by adding drawings to our Welcome Board each week, showing impressive talent and imagination.

Sick Policy

It's that time of the year again. With flu season among us, many parents question whether their child's symptoms are enough to keep them home from school. If your child exhibits any of these symptoms, they should not attend school in-person regardless of vaccination status:

  • Fever (100 or more)
  • Muscle pain
  • Nausea, diarrhea, or vomiting
  • Chills
  • Cough
  • Runny nose or congestion
  • Sore throat
  • Headache
  • Fatigue

For more information follow this link to view our Sick Policy.

Book Club

The Franklin Center Book Club recently celebrated the holiday season with a lovely lunch and cookie exchange at the home of Beth Malloy. Do you love to read? Join us! The club is open to all Franklin Center parents and caregivers.

With warmer weather approaching and snow melting, you might be starting to think about summer plans. For some students, summer means a change in routine and a break from school. At Franklin Center we understand the value of a consistent summertime routine. That is what Camp Franklin offers. Camp Franklin provides all students in grades K-12 with a friendly, welcoming, and fun atmosphere where they can explore activities that are both familiar and unfamiliar. Camp Franklin includes academic and social programs and begins the week of June 12th, 2023.

Registration and more information will be available in February 2023. We look forward to sharing the summer with you.
