"State of Franklin Center" Event

Dear Franklin Community,

In a year of transitions, we invite you to attend a "State of Franklin Center" conversation. Our leadership team will share what is going on inside the organization and give you the opportunity to ask questions.

At this event, our leaders will discuss overall Franklin Center updates, staffing changes and improvements that are underway, as well as initiatives we have in place to ensure that Franklin Center continues to provide excellent service to our community.

We believe that open communication is key to a strong and successful organization, and that is why we are excited to share this important information with you. We encourage you to join us for this important event.

Re-Enrollment Process

In preparation for the 2023-24 school year, we are asking families to begin the process for re-enrollment. With our Evergreen Contracts, the initial contract you signed ensures continuous enrollment for your child at Franklin Academy. This means that you don’t have to hassle with a contract every year; your student will be automatically enrolled for next school year unless you notify us of via the Official Notification of Withdrawal form found on our website by Wednesday, March 15th. If you do intend to have your child return to Franklin Academy for the 2023-24 school year, there is no action you must take. We will simply bill a $1,000 deposit, guaranteeing your child’s enrollment for next school year, via Blackbaud Tuition Management, on your next billing date after March 15, 2023. This $1,000 deposit will go towards next years tuition.

Volunteers Needed

PTO Volunteers are needed for the upcoming Spring Social! We will be holding the next PTO meeting TODAY Thursday, March 2nd, at 3:00 pm at Franklin Center. If you are interested in volunteering but can’t make the next meeting, contact Audra Williams at [email protected].

Owl's Nest is free for parents that attend the meeting. If you plan on utilizing Owl's Nest, please pre-register with Amber Trapp at [email protected].

Sponsorship Opportunities

The Minds of all Kinds committee is hard at work planning this year's breakfast that will be held on May 11th at the Golden Valley Country Club. Franklin Center has a number of sponsorship opportunities available to show your support for our amazing community. To learn more about our marketing and sponsorship opportunities, please contact Maureen at [email protected] or by calling 952-737-6435.

Coffee and Convos

Franklin Center's Coffee and Convo events provide a fun way to get to know other parents or caregivers in our community. Held on the second Friday of each month after drop off (around 8am), parents and guests can stop in for coffee and breakfast treats (often made by our students in the culinary science class) to mingle and get to know one another better. Events are held in our beautiful community room at Franklin Center. Come join us!

Tuition Statements for Taxes

Do you need a record of tuition paid in 2022 for your taxes? Statements are now available in your Blackbaud Tuition Management Account. Once you've logged in, click on the link "Student Year End Statement", located to the right of the "Make a Payment" box. If you have trouble accessing your statement, please call Tuition Management Customer Service at 888-868-8828 or use the Chat feature accessible from your account.

Parking Lot Reminders

Because of the large snow banks, icy roads, and turkeys, please use caution when driving in the parking lot. Remember to follow the signs and reduce your speed to ensure the safety of students, parents, and staff. Thank you!

Letters From Leaders

Kim Snow, Executive Director

Happy March,

We have made it through the dark days of winter and are looking forward to spring. It is an exciting time for Franklin Center as we have begun to settle into our new space.

Since taking on the permanent Executive Director role, I have learned a ton from our talented staff. We are taking the opportunity to understand our strengths and where we have opportunities for growth. We thought the best way to share this information with our parent community was to host a "State of the Franklin Center" event on Thursday, March 9 from 6-7 pm in our community room. This will be an opportunity for me to share what I have learned and for you to ask questions. Please register and attend this event. I look forward to our conversation and continuing to get to know our families better.

All my best,

-Kim
