E-Learning Days
When school is closed due to weather, we will initiate an E-Learning Day.

By 9:00 a.m., online work will be assigned by teachers as is relevant for their class. We trust that parents will do what is best for their students, if necessary helping students to prioritize and choose work that is possible at home.

The goal is to continue academic learning; however, if a parent is finding it difficult to either help their student with the work or their student is not able to complete the work, the teacher will assist the student with the assignment when they return to school.
Canceled: Student Reunion Basketball Tip-off
Out of an abundance of caution with the current high transmission rate, the Student Reunion Basketball Tip-off event for this Saturday, January 8th has been canceled.

We will miss getting the chance to spend time together! We are looking into alternative event options in the coming months and will communicate that information accordingly.

Reach out to [email protected]rg with any questions.

Dr. Sous's News
As 2022 begins, I have been reflecting on the last year and thinking about what is to come. I am grateful for our AOWL community.

For me, the new year means a time to set meaningful goals and to reflect on the blessings of the previous year. Despite a challenging 2021, I am proud of our AOWL community. We continue to show up, remain hopeful, and be resilient despite a worldwide pandemic.

On reflecting on the blessings from 2021: One of my biggest blessings in 2021 was accepting the role of Interim Principal at AOWL, where I am embraced by a team of professionals that are caring, daring, and passionate about serving students with neurodiversities. I feel honored to serve in a leadership role at AOWL.

A few years back, I was given a calendar filled with daily motivational quotes that I continue to read each day to energize my spirit. I noticed the recurring themes of Trust and Gratitude. I am grateful for our families for entrusting our team to provide the best academic and social support during this challenging time. Students and families are the reason why our team is able to serve with a great sense of purpose. I am grateful to be chosen to lead. Thank you for trusting our team.

On setting new goals in 2022: The community here at AOWL is more unique than at other schools at which I have served. I am surrounded by professionals that care deeply about neurodiverse learners and that are committed to their craft. Over the holiday break, I fulfilled one of my professional goals to complete a weeklong certification to better serve preK-12 students with neurodiversities. My goals for the new year include staying connected to families and students, building new relationships, and sharing best practices with our talented staff.

On behalf of everyone at Academy of Whole Learning, I would like to wish you a happy and healthy 2022. I hope that we will enter the year with a renewed spirit guided by Trust and Gratitude as well.
