PTO ANNUAL APPEAL: FOUR WEEKS DOWN
#piercepride  Raised to date: $25,840 (37% of goal)
This week is pledge week!! Please participate in the daily fun activities for kids and families to show your Pierce Pride!!
The PTO will spend more than
$160 per student  for the 2016-2017 school year, any amount you can give is appreciated -- truly. If your family is able to give a bit more, we are delighted to use that extra amount to help subsidize other families.  We're aiming for 100% family participation.   Checks can be made out to "Pierce PTO" and returned to the Appeal bin near the main office. You can also make a secure donation online at   http://www.pierceschoolbrookline.org.
Note: All contributions to the Pierce PTO are tax deductible and will be acknowledged with a receipt for tax purposes. The PTO's tax ID number is 35-2197562. Please also consider using your employer's matching grant program.

Where did the PTO spend your money in October?
With everyone settled in, October is the time when the PTO focuses on community-building. In October the PTO sponsored the fall picnic for families, HarvestFest for adults and teachers, and Pierce School sweatshirts to show our #piercepride day in and day out.  The PTO has also begun funding year-long enrichment programs in school, such as the 6th grade social studies play, and out of school, such as subsidizing each grade's field trips to ensure affordability for families. Finally, the PTO's teacher grant program has kicked off, where teachers can make special requests for funding. So far the PTO has made grants for fish and aquarium supplies, as well as professional development for adolescent mental health training and 1st/2nd grade literacy strategies.
