OPEN POSITIONS: PIERCE PTO! 
Pierce School needs your support! The PTO leadership team has wonderful opportunities for parents to be involved in the 2017-2018 school year. Being part of the PTO is a rewarding way to connect with and enrich our school community. Open positions include:

Pierce Communications Chair (1 position available)
The PTO seeks a volunteer who will works closely with PTO and develops and executes a strategy for open, consistent and accurate communication between the school and the Pierce community by publishing The Bridge (the Pierce weekly newsletter) and Principal's Corner.  For additional information, contact  piercebridge@gmail.com.

Bridge Editor (1 position available)
The PTO seeks a volunteer to edit the weekly newsletter. Work closely with the Communications Chair and other PTO members to ensure that the Bridge is complete, on time, and error-free! PIERCE MOVIE NIGHT WAS A SUCCESS!!
We had a packed house for pizza and a movie on 2/17. Thank you to the Student Council for co-sponsoring this event with posters, movie choice, activities, pizza ticket sales as well as your enthusiasm and efforts!  hank you also to the Volunteers and Chaperones Yan Zheng, Xiaozhuang He, Buks Moolman, Gioia Perugini, Claudia Xavier, Dan Wang, Elisabetta Del Re-Oster, Bill Barry and Paula Rubio-Fernandez.

The process of ordering a school yearbook for your child is quick and easy with online ordering!  Simply follow these steps:

2. Click on the "Place an Order" button
3. Select "Yearbooks"

5. Complete the online order form to purchase yearbook for $25 with a credit card

PIERCE SCHOOL'S DESTINATION IMAGINATION COMPETITIVE SCIENCE TEAM!
Sat., 3/25
Four Pierce School 3rd Graders--Aspen, Emily, Alexa and Zanna--
will compete i n the MA Destination Imagination Science Tournament. Their project focuses on both cryptic and steganographic codes and addresses the issues of puppy mills. They have worked for months on developing an 8-minute play, as required, to present their scientific solutions. Good Luck and Have Fun!

BROOKLINE SCHOOL COMMITTEE REVIEWS IMPORTANT POLICIES
Bullying Prevention Policy and Policy Against Discrimination, Sexual Harassment, and Retaliation
As part of it's regular review of school policies, the Brookline School Committee is revising two of the district's most important ones, our Bullying Prevention Policy and our Policy Against Discrimination, Sexual Harassment, and Retaliation. The School Committee members need your help in crafting these policies. They are hoping to get a wide range  of input from parents and guardians as they finalize these policies over the next two weeks. If you are interested in commenting on either one of these proposed policies, you can read them at http://www.brookline.k12.ma.us//site/Default.aspx?PageID=971 and email School Committee Member Lisa Jackson with questions, comments, and input at  lisa_jackson@psbma.org . Please comment by 3/15.

BROOKLINE SEPAC EVENT: AN EVENING WITH STUDENT SERVICES DEPUTY SUPERINTENDENT, SAM ZIMMERMAN
