A Library Reopen is pending!

Please read the important information below:

The new entry construction is mostly complete--- HOWEVER, we do still have contractors here working on exterior lighting, the elevator, the exterior doors, and finishing up odd jobs. We do not have a certificate of occupancy yet.

(The Upper Town Hall is a work in progress, and is not finished/operational yet, but
that work will not prevent the library from reopening).

We do NOT have a firm date for a library reopen yet, but believe that the library is on the brink of a full reopen with no restrictions within a week or so.
We will let you know immediately when we are able to return to
our normal operating hours which are:

Tuesday and Thursday 1-8 PM, Wednesday and Friday 10-4 and Saturday 10-2.

At that time our book drop will be moved to a
permanent home at the south side of the library building.

Thanks for your patience and support during the project,
and now during this very exciting time.
We can't wait to reintroduce you to your beautiful public library.

FYI: We are STILL operating in "curbside services mode" until we get a green light. Our exterior book drop and pick-up bin are still located in front of the town offices---right side, near the Building Department entrance.

Call 774-3546 for any assist you may need.
FYI: Materials not picked up will be brought inside overnight. We will put them back out the next day.

All programs will remain virtual, with Story Time and Chair Yoga
meeting at the DCC Vestry for the duration, and perhaps a bit beyond.

If you would like a library card, need help or assistance, please call 774-3546. If you do not reach us, please call us back. Thanks!
FYI: We will post any schedule change (or snow closure or delay) to our website, Facebook page and WMUR.

Wi-Fi is available in our parking lot.

Thank you for understanding. We have lost our storage space.
Need some ideas for where to donate? Call the library and we will surely help you.

New Hampshire 1000 Books Before Kindergarten

The concept is simple, the rewards are priceless. Read a book (any book) to your newborn, infant, and/or toddler.
The goal is to read 1,000 books before your little one starts kindergarten- and yes you can repeat books! We know that all kids have favorites! If you read just 1 book a night, you will have read 365 books in a year. By the time they start kindergarten, it's possible to have read 1,825 books together!
Not only will your child benefit from having a larger vocabulary, and more interest in reading, but studies have shown that reading to a child daily is an early indicator of academic success. The bonding time while you read to/with a child is possibly one of the most wonderful benefits!
Do you have questions? Need more logs?
Please call the library!
