Oakie Acorn Makes it to Mascot Madness Finals

Central New York is rallying around Oakie's quest for Mascot Madness greatness. Not only are ESF friends, families, and local organizations sharing Oakie's voting link on social media, but Oakie's smiling face has also been seen on WSYR, WSTM, and WTVH and was a topic of conversation on 93Q's Ted & Amy show.

Oakie Takes on Stony Brook’s Wolfie in Mascot Madness Rematch 

Oakie is engaged in a back-and-forth battle with Stony Brook’s Wolfie for the SUNY Mascot Madness title. Oakie fell to Wolfie in the finals last year, so let’s show SUNY that history will not repeat itself!

Spring Robin Hood Oak Awards Nominations Open

Nominations are being accepted for the Spring Robin Hood Oak awards. These awards are given to May graduating seniors (undergrads) in several categories. If you serve as a club advisor or work closely with a student that you think demonstrates the awards’ qualities, please nominate them. In May, we also have awards for faculty, staff, and academic advisors and encourage you to nominate your deserving colleagues.

The Robin Hood Oak Awards are presented at the Spring Banquet, April 15, at the MOST in Armory Square.

Double Feature Offered by CNPE

The Center for Native Peoples and the Environment (CNPE) invites the campus community to watch environmental stories about Indigenous Peoples, land, and culture. The final screening of the semester is a double feature of “The Good Mind” and “Haudenosaunee Canoe Journey.”

Environmental Research Leads the Way to a Better Future

The student-led CNY Conference on Environmental Science and Studies gives students enrolled in graduate research in Central New York and surrounding universities an opportunity to present their work and workshop research ideas. “Exploring the Margins: Environmental Research for a better future” is open to participation by faculty and undergraduate students as well as graduate students. Be sure to take advantage of this opportunity.
