The School Year has Come to a Close!!
Wow...It's been one heck of a school year! I am incredibly grateful to a whole host of people, starting with our Brotherhood members and their families. I appreciate the many parents who have expressed their appreciation for sowing seeds of love, trust, and brotherhood into their young boys.
And to our young members who continue to show signs of growth and development as they transform themselves from young boys to awesome young men. Watching these remarkable young boys grow, learn, and bond with one another has been an absolute privilege. Their enthusiasm, dedication, and willingness to step out of their comfort zones have been truly inspiring.
I also want to thank all of you for being an integral part of The Brotherhood family. We deeply appreciate your commitment to our boys' personal growth and development. Together, we are building a brighter future for these young boys and our community as a whole.
We love this work, it is some of the most important work on the planet. So hang in there with us, we have an awesome slate of summer activities and events full of fun and growth opportunities for all. We hope each of you can somehow participate, either with your time, donations, and/or prayers.
Again, thank you for your continued support!

The Importance of Coalition Building
For The Brotherhood, coalition building is essential to amplifying our impact and creating lasting change for young men and boys in Memphis. By partnering with other organizations, schools, and community leaders, we can pool resources, expertise, and influence to provide a more comprehensive support and development infrastructure for a greater number of boys in our community. We are looking for like-minded organizations to partner with, none of us can do this work alone. Through collaboration, we can build a stronger network of support and ultimately achieve our vision of empowering the next generation of men, fathers, and leaders in our communities. Let's come together, we want to partner with other organizations!

Our Weekly Sessions Got a Little Intense at Times!
OMG!...the conversations in our weekly meetings are AWESOME!! Our focus this quarter has been on our "Six Principles of Personal Leadership." These principles include Perseverance, Integrity, Responsibility, Commitment, Scholarship, and Faith.
We see these principles as building blocks to manhood. The dialog in these meetings are so inspiring...we love these sessions!

Community Service and the Southside Community.
For the young men of The Brotherhood B2M, community service is not just an extracurricular activity, but an essential component of their development as leaders and engaged citizens. We take a crew once a month to do clean up duty in the Southside community. By volunteering their time and talents to address local needs, they gain firsthand experience in tackling real-world challenges, fostering empathy for others, and developing a sense of responsibility for their community.
By volunteering their time and talents to keep their community clean, they not only contribute to a greater good but also cultivate essential life skills like empathy, leadership, and teamwork. Through community service, these young men gain first-hand exposure to the challenges faced by others, fostering a deeper understanding of their community's needs and a stronger sense of social responsibility. And, believe it or not, it strengthens a sense of brotherhood between members that can last a lifetime.

We are deeply grateful to the Alpha Delta Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. for organizing and hosting this year's college tour. Our journey took us to Rust College in Holy Springs, Mississippi, Miles College in Alabama, Atlanta's Morris Brown College, and Atlanta Technical College. It was a truly memorable two days!
Each of the colleges did a great job conducting their campus tours Each college was unique and special in its own way.
For our young boys, visiting as many colleges as possible before graduating high school is a crucial step in their personal and academic development. These visits offer invaluable opportunities to experience diverse campus environments, envision themselves as college students, and gain insights into different academic programs and extracurricular activities.
These experiences not only broaden their perspectives but also ignite their motivation and ambition, inspiring them to strive for academic excellence and pursue their dreams.
They learned a lot!!

Your Donations are Greatly Appreciated!
There are many worthy philanthropic organizations in Memphis and throughout the nation; The Brotherhood B2M Memphis is one of those organizations. We are a nonprofit organization whose focus lies in fostering the personal growth and development of teenage boys through a comprehensive approach we call Personal Leadership Development, or simply Personal Development.
Our mission is to help guide teenage boys down the path to becoming respectful, productive, and successful young men. When you choose to donate to The Brotherhood, you are making a direct and significant impact on the lives of our boys and the entire Memphis community. Your contribution supports the development of enriching educational and leadership activities, the expansion of our mentorship program, career exploration activities, and some of our essential operating costs. Your investment in The Brotherhood is an investment in a brighter future for our boys and our community.
We firmly believe that there is no greater or more impactful investment of your time and resources than in the growth and development of young teenage boys. These formative years are crucial in shaping their character, values, and future trajectory. By empowering them with the skills, knowledge, and support they need to thrive, we are not only transforming individual lives but also paving the way for a brighter, more promising future for our society as a whole.
