MP Profile
Meet Martin Magda. H
e and his wife, Julia have 2 children: Ella (6th grade at MCMS) and Will (1st grade at TGS). His wife is in private practice as an attorney.
This is his 18th year as a social studies teacher
. What is the best part about his job? "I get to talk about history all day every day!" In his spare time, he enjoys reading (mostly history), watching his kids play sports, watching sports on TV, playing with his chocolate lab (Thatcher), and going to the beach as often as possible.
If he could go back in time, he would go back to 1996 and convince Ted Turner not to sell the Atlanta Braves. "All the suffering since then might therefore have been avoided." When asked what he would do with the extra time if he did not have to sleep, he said "Read more." When people come to him for help, they usually need help passing AP US History. What keeps him up at night? - "what kind of country my children will have to live in." He said if he could go back and do something again, he would go back to pole vaulting on his high school track team. "That was a lot of fun."

Attention Seniors
The FAFSA® is the application that students must complete to apply for federal student aid, which can be used to attend an eligible college or career school. Federal student aid includes Federal Pell Grants, federal student loans, and work-study opportunities. In addition to determining eligibility for federal student aid, many states, private organizations, colleges, and career schools rely on information from the FAFSA to determine eligibility for nonfederal sources of aid.
ALL students must complete this form regardless of parent income.
