Highlights from Homecoming Week 2019
PSAT Administration
All 10th grade students, registered 9th grade students, and registered 11th grade students will participate in the  PSAT  administration on  Wednesday, October 16, 2019.  Students will be allowed to use a basic, scientific, or graphing  calculator  on the math portion of the test.  Students should plan to bring their own  calculator  as there will be a limited supply of school-owned  calculators  available.  Please contact your counselor if you have questions.

Academic Team

The MP Academic Team has participated in two tournaments the past two weekends. On September 21, Junior Varsity earned 3rd place in their division. On September 28, Varsity advanced to the playoffs and fell to the 1 seed, while JV earned 4th place and their first trophy of the year. 

Team members included Calvin Brown, Hunter Buice, Caleb Johnson, Maci Joiner, Baxter Berlin, and Donovan Skinner. JV members included Emily Oden, Cameron Sparks, Ella Miller, Chloe Myers, Star Pompa, Johanna Tafolla, Corbin Lane, and Arlene Perez. Congratulations on doing a great job these last two weeks.

The annual Southern Heritage Ham & Turkey Fundraiser is in progress.  Please see any FFA member to place your order. The deadline to place your order is  October 28th . and the estimated delivery is the week of November 11th.
HOSA News
HOSA members are selling raffle tickets for a chance to win a MacBook Air. The drawing will take place on October 16th. Tickets are $10 each. You may purchase a ticket from any HOSA member, or you may stop by Ms. Carter's room (room 101), after school, to purchase one.

Jackie Gore and Anohki Patel attended the Forsyth/Monroe County Rotary meeting. The guest speaker was Eric Wilson, Mayor of Forsyth. He updated the club on events/projects going on in the city.
