Honors Biology Students Observe Their Cheek Cells
Ninth grade Honors Biology students prepare slides of their cheek cells to view examples of Eukaryota  animal cells under microscopes. The process included using proper lab safety and staining cells on glass slides with methanol  blue. This enabled them to see a dark blue dot inside each cell (the nucleus), which included their very own genetic DNA! Some were able to see two dots inside one cell indicating the process of mitosis, or cellular reproduction. Cool!!
Minute to Win It!!!
AP Micro students participated in a "Minute to Win It" challenge
to measure absolute and comparative advantages.
