Congratulations Mrs. Little
September Teacher of the Month
MP Profile
Meet Jennifer Hogan. She is married to Doug and they have 3 children (Sarah, Caleb, & Gabe) and 2 grandaughters (Charlotte & Raegan). Mrs. Hogan teaches 11th & 12th grade English, and she is in her 17th year at MP. When asked what she likes most about her job, she said "Teenagers make every day an adventure. I enjoy seeing students connect with stories we read." Her hobbies include running, reading, working outdoors, traveling, and going to concerts with Doug. If she could travel back in time she would like to go to the year 1969 so she could go to Woodstock, and be able to see Hendrix, Janis Joplin, and Crosby, Stills & Nash.  She said that would have been "worth the rain (and everything else)". If she did not have to sleep, she would spend more time with her children. She does not get to see her oldest two as often as she would like. When people come to her for help, they usually need help with their writing and for proofreading things. Her mother has influenced her life the most and helped to make her who she is today. She said she gets her even temper from her mom. Her dog (literally) keeps her up at night. Mrs. Hogan had the opportunity to meet Johnny Cash when she was 11 years old. "He was filming in Monticello and I asked for his autograph. He stopped what he was doing, gave me his attention, and was the most humble and kind man. I am a lifelong fan because of that encounter."  Her great grandparents were Irish immigrants and she visited the county they were from. "Trip of a lifetime!"
