Freshmen Brush Up on Lab Skills

Students in Ms. Dews' 9th Grade Honors Biology class fresh up
on their microscope and lab safety skills on the first day of school.
Photo taken in Edinburgh, Scotland

On the trip through The British Isles, students visited Ireland and Northern Ireland and learned about "The Troubles" as the Irish refer to the difficult period in their history when Irish Catholics and British Anglicans were fighting. Then they traveled by ferry to Scotland and by train to England. Throughout the trip, students saw magnificent architecture including castles and palaces, but also enjoyed natural wonders like Giant's Causeway in Northern Ireland and the extinct volcano known as Arthur's Seat at the foot of the Royal Mile in Edinburgh, Scotland. Special thanks to the adults and teachers who made the trip possible.
