Congratulations to our Retiree

Congratulations to Charles Chambliss, who is retiring this year after 27 years in education, all of them served in Monroe County. Mr. Chambliss was first hired as a bus driver. He said he enjoyed driving a bus. From there he was asked to do other jobs like cutting grass and he eventually became a custodian.  "I enjoy being around good people, and Mary Persons is full of them." He said he will miss the people the most, but he will not miss cleaning bathrooms. In retirement, he looks forward to doing what he wants, when he wants, and not going to work everyday. His advice to new people: "Pace yourself and ask for help when needed.
