Engineering Students Present Projects

1st year engineering students "speed date presented" poster 
and website projects on 21st century innovations last week. 
This got students up and out of their seats to listen to the peers and 
view their work, while students practiced professionalism and presentation skills. 
Classes Observe Chinese New Year
Ms. Peacock's Humanities and Ms. Holloway and Ms. Chafin's classes celebrated 
the Year of the Pig with information, games, and activities including making 
Dragon masks and lanterns, and playing traditional Chinese games.
12 for Life Students Meet Kemp
Greater Promise Partnership who sponsors the 12 for Life program 
visited the Capitol on Wednesday, February 13.

Students can start making payments for their AP exams beginning December 14. 
The cost of each exam is $95. The fee schedule:

2019 Youth Art Month student exhibit from March 1-29 at the Fine Arts Center.  
The reception will be held Tuesday, March 5 from 5:30-7:30.

Tennis News

The MP Tennis Team traveled to Macon last week to play against ACE for their first match of the season. The boys team won 5-0 and the girls team won 4-1. Winning players for the boys included Micah, Preston, and Caleb Wilson at singles and the teams of Tucker Melton/Jimbo Finch and Carter Justice/Brandon Carter. Winning players for the girls included Becky Kenirey, Jackie Gore, and Reagan Dorrity for singles and the team of Emma Cantrell/Anna Starr for doubles. The team will be back in action on Wednesday, February 20, at Northside. Go Dogs   

Volleyball News

Attention Girls interested in Volleyball

Volleyball open gym/ conditioning  will be Monday & Wednesdays from 3:30 to 5:10.  It will start (depending on basketball) March 11, 2019 in MPHS gym util April. 

A Mini Camp will take place April 15th-April 17th starting at 3:45 and go til 5.  Volleyball tryouts will be April 22, 24, 25 and 26th  3:30-5:30.
