Hi Sanborn Friends,

It’s hard to believe we’re at the end of another school year—and with that, the final PTO newsletter of the year. This one feels a little extra special (and bittersweet) because it’s also my last message as PTO president.

After two years of serving on the Board, the time has come for us to step down and pass the torch. It’s been an incredible experience—full of fun events, big and small wins, and a whole lot of community spirit. I’m so thankful for the support, ideas, and helping hands from all of you along the way.

A huge thank you to the rest of our outgoing Board and those who served along the way: Kristen Andrews, Meagan Annino, Callan Almeida, Jamie Sloan, Meghan McDermott, Misty Davis, and Ashlee Lazzari. It’s been a true team effort and I’m so grateful for the friendship and the fun.

The best part? We’re leaving things in great hands. The incoming board (see below!) is full of energy and ready to keep the momentum going. We can’t wait to see what they do next!

Thanks again for letting us be a part of your Bulldog experience these past couple of years. Have a wonderful summer—we’ll see you around!

Abbie Connors

PTO President

Welcome to...

The New PTO Board!

We’re thrilled to introduce the new PTO Board, who will be leading the charge next year! We are grateful to Kimiko Vecchione and Lisa Dore for continuing on in their board service, and to the new members who have stepped up to join them.

Kimiko Vecchione, President

Lisa Dore, Fundraising Chair

Liz Gostanian, Vice President and Communications Chair

Kait Sanchez, Secretary

Peggy Vena, Treasurer

Kait Sheehy, Room Parent Coordinator

Fran Walker McGuinness, Events Chair

Sunita Angjeli, Enrichment Chair

Each of them brings great ideas, positive energy, and a real commitment to our school community. We’re excited to see what they’ll accomplish together!

School Toolbox

Sanborn is partnering with School Tool Box again this year to offer an easy and cost-effective way to purchase back-to-school supplies for the fall. Log on to www.schooltoolbox.com, search for “Sanborn” and then locate your child’s grade level list.

Each grade has required items, as well as add-on and optional items. Once ordered, the boxes are delivered to your child’s classroom for the first day of school.

Supply prices either meet or beat the prices at Amazon, Staples and Target; each box is rounded up to the next dollar to provide a small amount of funds for the school to purchase additional supplies for Sanborn families in need.

Please order by July 6 in order to have your supply box delivered in time for the start of school.

DID YOU KNOW?

Sanborn is Planning

a New Playground!

Thank you to everyone who participated in our Dunk Tank at the Art Show & Ice Cream Social! We have raised over $1,000 so far in support of our new playground.

This is just the beginning, but we're already getting excited!

Donor Shout Out!

  • Thank you, Rotary Club of Andover! The Rotary Club donated funds to “Nature on Wheels” and enabled our 5th graders to engage in two days of workshops, focused on scientific inquiry and collaborative learning.

  • Thank you to Andona for their generous grant to the Sanborn PTO! This funding helps keep Family Fun Night, Spooky Fun Fair, our Talent Show, Around the World, and Ice Cream Social free and inclusive to our entire community.
