It's October—aka the month of cozy sweaters, pumpkin-spiced everything, and way too much candy! We know the Fall can get busy for families, but we hope you can take a little time to join us for Spooky Fun Fair on 10/26 (details below). This Sanborn tradition is always a fun time, with Trunk-or-treat, the 5th Grade Haunted House, and more. And don’t worry, we promise not to judge anyone for sneaking a few extra pieces of candy! We’re all in this together!

Read ahead for more ways we can connect, including participating in our Sanborn Family Directory.

Sanborn Playground Survey!

We are excited to introduce a survey as part of a multi-year Sanborn playground project, which is currently in its initial planning phase. Your input is essential as we work to design a space that meets the needs and interests of our entire school community.

This project will take time and evolve over the coming years, and we value your thoughts and ideas to help guide us in creating a safe, fun, and inclusive playground for everyone. Please take a moment to share your feedback through the survey so we can build something great together!

Stay Connected with the

Sanborn Family Directory!

In a few weeks, we will be sending out a Sanborn Directory (a list of names and family contact info).

Similar to last year:

  • There will be no cost for the directory.
  • In order to have your family's information in the Directory, you will need to "opt-in" via Aspen (see directions below) by November 1, 2024.
  • You will only receive the Directory if you are listed in the Directory. Contact information for the primary parent listed in Aspen will be shared.
  • We will not produce printed copies, we will email a PDF of the Directory to those who choose to participate.

If you would like to participate, please go to Aspen, click on "Family Connection-Back to School Forms" and select "Update" next to your student's name. In the section labeled "Permissions" ensure you've checked "Yes" on the 2nd question: "Do you wish to participate in a school based Family Contact List..." Make sure you save your changes! Please do this for ALL children in your family.

If you have any questions, please contact us at pto@sanbornpto.net.

Enrichment activities

Through your support of last year's Sanborn Fun Run, we are able to bring Enrichment activities and outside field trips to Sanborn at NO cost to students. Take a peek at what's coming up!

  • Historical Perspectives "Amelia Earhart" performance by Sheryl Faye for Second Grade
  • Discovery Museums Weather program for First Grade
  • Meteorologist Danielle Noyes visit for Third Grade
  • Mind Your Business four-week entrepreneurship program starting for Fourth Grade

We have a lot more planned throughout the rest of the school year, including all-school enrichment programs and more opportunities for class-level experiences.

We couldn't do any of this without donations from you,

THANK YOU for your continued support.

Mark Your Calendar!

There's lots to look forward to and there's a lot to keep track of. But don't worry, we've got you covered!

We put together a handy calendar on our website for everything going on at Sanborn. We update it regularly so you will always have the most accurate info.
