The OECD Teacher Knowledge Survey (TKS) is the first large-scale study of teachers’ general pedagogical knowledge with internationally comparable data from representative samples of teachers. In 2024, over 20,000 teachers from lower secondary schools in eight countries participated in this new optional module of the Teaching and Learning International Survey (TALIS).

Educators at the heart of greening education: A climate resilience toolkit for policymakers

The Guyana government is rolling out a multi-year strategy to improve mathematics performance across the education system, with a strong focus on teacher training and early literacy and numeracy assessments. Minister of Education Sonia Parag said the plan, to be implemented over the next five years, aims to deliver sustained improvements in student outcomes, while reinforcing ongoing preparations for key examinations such as the National Grade Six Assessment (NGSA) and the Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC).

Caribbean countries urged to introduce TVET early in education systems
