Bridgeport ISD Families,

Welcome back! It has been such an exciting week in Bridgeport ISD, welcoming back our staff and students for the 2023-24 school year. We love having everyone back in our classrooms, and we are eager for the exciting year ahead!

Thank you for trusting us with your children and for allowing us the opportunity to educate them. We know you have options when it comes to education and we are grateful that you have chosen Bridgeport ISD. We aim to exceed your expectations in all areas from customer service, communication and transparency. When we do not meet your expectations, please let us know so we can do better.

Let’s make this a great year in Bridgeport ISD!

Sincerely,

Amy Ellis, Ed.D.

Superintendent

Welcome Back!

We had such a fun day welcoming our students back this week! Take a look at some of the highlights from the first day of school!

Advanced Math Pathway Cohort

Congratulations to our first Advanced Math Pathway Cohort Members. These 5th graders tested out of 5th grade math and will be taking 6th grade math at the middle school this year! We are excited to see these students grow this year and accelerate their math instruction!

Go Bulls!

Get your Bridgeport gear ready for athletic events this year! We are excited to announce the opening of the Bridgeport Athletics Sideline Store! To celebrate, you can get 25% off of your purchase from now through Sept. 3 using code SPIRIT!

Popsicles with Principals!

Thanks to everyone who came out for our Popsicles with Principals event last week! It was so fun seeing our students mingle with their campus principals and get excited for the new school year!

As we kick off a new school year, Bridgeport ISD continues to dedicate time, energy and resources to keeping our students and staff safe in our school buildings. Last spring, we upgraded our visitor management software to Raptor Technology, so we wanted to remind all visitors to be prepared to present your government-issued ID cards for entry at any of our campuses. Please arrive early for school events such as class parties, assemblies and pep rallies to allow adequate time to complete the Raptor check-in process at the campus front desk.

Thank you for your cooperation with these safety protocols to keep all students and staff safe at school!
