As this first semester comes to a close, we wanted to say thank you for the opportunity to serve your family during this fall semester! It has been a privilege to see the academic growth of our students these last few months, and we are looking forward to even more great things in the spring semester. 

All students will have an early release next Wednesday, Dec. 20, the last day of the semester. Please see the early release times for each campus below: 

Bridgeport Elementary: 12:05 p.m.

Bridgeport Intermediate: 11:55 a.m.

Bridgeport Middle: 12:20 p.m.

Bridgeport High: 12:30 p.m.

Alternative Learning Center: 12:30 p.m.

All Bridgeport ISD campuses will be closed from Thursday, Dec. 21 through Wednesday, Jan. 3 for Winter Break. Staff will return Jan. 4-5 for staff development, and students will return on Monday, Jan. 8 for the start of Term 3.

Bridgeport FFA Hosts Build-Off Day

The Bridgeport FFA recently sponsored a Build-Off Day with local FFA programs. Over 30 schools signed up to participate and students had an awesome time collaborating together!

SAT Bootcamp Registration is Open!

Attention Juniors! Sign up today for the upcoming SAT Bootcamp to prepare for SAT School Day on March 6! Registration is open until Dec. 20 and there is limited space available. Click here to register today.

City of Bridgeport Christmas Parade

Bridgeport High School students participated in the Bridgeport Christmas parade! Thanks to the City of Bridgeport for including our students in the community holiday celebrations! 

BIS Honor Choir

The Bridgeport Intermediate School Honor Choir wowed their peers during a lunchtime performance!

Bridgeport Auto Mechanics Career Day

The Bridgeport Auto program students had a great time last week when they attended the Texas Motor Speedway career day!

Bridgeport Police Department Hosting Training on BHS Campus

The Bridgeport Police Department will be utilizing Bridgeport ISD facilities to conduct active shooter training over the Winter Break from Tuesday, Dec. 26 - Friday, Dec. 29.

The Bridgeport Basketball team will be utilizing the gym for games during some of these times, but the Bridgeport PD will be in a separate part of the building, not accessible by the general public, and will not interfere in any way with the basketball games. 

You may see a police presence at the campus during these times, but it's no cause for concern. We're grateful for our partnership with the Bridgeport Police Department!
