Happening This Month
Did You Know?!

Simply Bee Classroom as it's known today was born out of working with many schools and districts throughout Lake County over the past 5+ years. Our connection first started by supporting mental health & wellness initiatives for students at various times of the year. As we continued to build those relationships, we were then asked by administrators to share tips, tools and strategies grounded in evidence-based practices with parents -- and now educators too!

Having the opportunity to evolve our relationships with schools over the years has deepened our mission and values. It has helped us better understand the needs of those in our community so we can develop programs and resources that make an impact.

This month we went back to our roots by spending time starting conversations with students about what they can do to take action towards putting their mental health first. These conversations are powerful steps towards breaking outdated stigmas and cycles that exist around mental health. Check out some of this month's work with students below.

Mental Health Resource Fair
October 28, 2021

We are looking forward to participating in the LHS Mental Health Resource Fair in conclusion to Red Ribbon Week. We will have a booth to share active ways students can embody the message that mental health is health.
Thomas Middle School

On October 11th Audrey Grunst, LCSW & CEO of Simply Bee spent the morning with Thomas Middle School during their PD day to share our keynote presentation, Growing A Resilient Mind. In this presentation educators learned our 5-step Growth and Resiliency Model© aimed to increase self regulation and emotional self-care skills alongside how to have a growth mindset, even during challenging or stressful times.

We will be with several of their staff throughout the fall as this PD presentation was the kick-off to launching Year Two of the 4x4 Wellness Program for Educators.
Coming Up
Stevenson High School Resource Fair - November 18th

Simply Bee is headed to Stevenson next month to present to members of D125's student services staff, and those from the surrounding feeder schools, more about our services and programs. We want to ensure those who need resources know that we're here to provide support.
Current Programs
4x4 Wellness Program for Educators

For many educators lacking time, energy, positivity and self-care impacts their day-to-day life and correlates to burn out in the classroom and in the home.

Our team helps busy educators discover time, sustain high energy, practice self-care and improve their overall mood -- without feeling like "just another thing on their plate."

This comprehensive program focuses on mental health, physical exercise, diet, mindfulness, yoga and emotional well-being through a flexible and virtual format that can be self-paced or done together as cohorts for additional team cohesion and culture building.
